These are machined stainless steel and have a highly polished finish, these will really be noticed on your DMC! They are made to the later spec of door pin with the longer thread length.

They have been made with a chamfered end to help guide the door catch and try and reduce the damage caused to the pin.

The price is £60 for a complete set of 4.

Postage to other countries works out as:

UK £4.50
USA £12.50
Australia £12.80
Europe £11.50

I will post to any country. Please ask for a quote if needed. I could make the postage cheaper but there wont be any insurance should they go missing.

These are made to order so please allow a day or two to get a set completed before I can post out.

Item is shipped from the UK. All prices are in Great British Pounds (GBP). Paypal accepted.

How do these compare to the stock door pins in terms of strength? My concern here is that with the change to stainless they would be weaker and more likely to shear off in the event of a collision. They look great, but I'm just thinking it might be a safety issue.

Stainless 304 is a fairly strong steel alloy, has a comparatively high yield and ultimate tensile strength, higher than some commonly used carbon steels, and at least 2X the yield strength of 6061-T6 Aluminum, if I recall correctly. Not sure what type of steel the OEM pins used, but probably nothing very exotic (high strength).

Still though, a good question to ask, but unless we know what the OEM part was, it's an assumption that these are the same or stronger.

Btw, at current rates that's like $123 shipped to US.

Will these fit any car or just later ones? I have an early 81.

They will fit early and late models. DMC seemed to increase the length of the thread by 1/4 inch on later models, seemingly to accommodate extra washers behind the pin if required. They also gave the thread a chamfer to help guide it into the nut. Everything else about the pins are identical to the early spec pins.
