Here are the 3 links to the Deloreans for sale. The 82 is the best one I think.:)

This one is number 255. Not bad.

This one has a 160mph speedominter. For some reason the radiator grille has been painted red.

To quote your signature, mainly about the first car, but the rest too..

1. Does it run?
2. Can it be driven?
3. Does the AC work?

Haha, very true. Gotta be careful when buying a D. But that temptation gets you sometimes.

That 82 is actually a December 81. I am digging the ground effects, although he seems to be missing the rear. Not that big a deal breaker to some, including myself. I find the rear part to that system least appealing.

225 is looking fine, but the manufacture date has been punched in instead of embossed? Was that normal for the early cars? The side stripe really makes this car pop.

Red radiator grille? Steering wheel wrapped in what appears to be rags they use on tour de france bikes... FUGLY steering wheel cover... Really? Somehow that shouts that the wrong person has been owning that car.

In other news... why is it that only one of these sellers (ironically mister or misses red radiator grille) is putting up a picture up of the frame? Don't D sellers (and thus owners) know it is the #1 thing people look at? The exterior can look oh so good, but if the frame is shot it's a no go... What do frame repairs run at the shop? 10k? 20k?

VIN756 would be the one for me if I could buy another DeLorean
I really love the dark wheels and the hood with groove and gas flap.
Furthermore the low vin is a plus for the car history, I think. One of the first car to be build in the factory :)
Too bad, there's not enough pictures, and no one of the frame.

"The engine is a Volvo engine, with Robert Bosch injection..."

I wonder how Robert feels about that.

I don't believe there was a rear for that early kit. It is actually a copy of the Lotus Esprit side skirt/valance. The current ground effects kits on the market are different.

If you make a bid on Ebay and get outbid, does it cost you anything? I never use ebay, so I have no idea.. I know it sounds like an imbecilic question.

No, if you get outbid it doesn't cost you a thing. Other than your sanity if you really wanted the item...

What do you find interesting about those cars? They all look like typical garden variety dogged out DeLoreans to me. The second one is mildly interesting to me since it's got such a low VIN, but the other 2 cars are pretty ho hum to me. :)

What he finds interesting is that there is a link to them. This is Jammer we are talking about, dudeman LOVES to post any DeLorean related link regardless if it's been posted before ;)

Mr. Pedantic here: surely vin 756 would be the 257th car?

More importantly it has Cruise Control but The Engine Is Not Turbocharged

No, it is safe. And also if you are only outbid and are the "runner up" and the winner doesn't take it, sometimes the seller will seel the item to the 2nd person for their higest bid. (Sometimes) Happened to me on one of the things I bought a few years ago on there. Worth a try.

I was told that a new frame cost 6K, not sure if that is installed or not or even if the number is correct, just passing on what I was told. Can anyone confirm this?

If so, it would make a bid on a rusted frame car that much easier, just deduct 8K from the asking price, 2k for your trouble.

The early VINs had punched in dates instead of the embossed dates. I think it chaged around VIN 1290 or so. You can see a bunch of VIN plate photos at the www.txdmc.org website under the tab "Registry".
