Anyone near Modesto?

Anyone in the vicinity of Modesto, CA? I've seen one other DeLorean in town, but never got to meet the owner. I am curious whether there are others out there as well.

I don't know any other DeLorean owners personally, so I've been tackling issues and buying/installing parts based off what others say online. I'd love to meet up with somebody local who is knowledgeable and experienced. The car is currently non-opt until I can get it smogged.

Used to live there, grew up there but in slo now. I have never had the Delorean there though. Good luck finding the owner.

I'm about 40 miles away from you. I've touched nearly every part of the car now to some extent (brake rebuild, clutch & brake hydrolics, complete A/C replacement, window motors, fuse box, full interior pull and dye, new speakers & sub, etc) but never brought a car back from the dead. Edit: Doesn't sound like your car is dead, rereading I realize you just need to get it smogged.

There is a great group of owners in Sacramento I frequently meet with, if you are willing to make the drive you'd be welcome to join.

Additionally, there is a NorCal owners facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/NorCal.DMC/) and a yahoo group (https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/ncdmc/conversations/messages) you should join to stay current on upcoming drives and tech sessions.

I believe there is a tech day this Saturday in Cameron Park. A brake rebuild is on the agenda.

Yesterday there was a meet up for an "estate sale" of sorts for DMC memorabilia. Seems like something is always going on!

I saw the pictures and immediately regretted my decision, but I didn't want to spread my cold.

And I would have cheated anyway by taking my Chevy Cruze. <grin> Still working out all the bugs in the engine.
