I have already plugged this event in our Monthly ODOC Update for the Ontario Delorean Owners Club. Hopefully we can get more than the 3 Canadian Cars that came down there in 2013.

Darn it! I'm planning on being up north at this time this year but on that day specifically I'll be going to a Rolling Stones concert in Pittsburgh for my friends bachelor party. One of these days I want to make this open house!

June 20th draws near and it looks like we will have another great turnout for this year's Customer Appreciation Open House!

We were able to add more rooms to our room block at the Comfort Inn so if you haven't reserved a room yet, you have until Saturday, June 13th to be added. The hotel will honor the $79.00 rate after that IF they have any rooms left to let out.

Dave and I, Mike, Jason, Jonathan, and Alex (along with our families) are looking forward to spending the day with many of you.

We are so pleased to have Chris Nicholson joining us again too. It is always a treat to have such a well respecting member of the DeLorean Community choose to come and do a stainless refinishing demonstration at DMC Midwest as well as answer the stainless questions that so many owners have!

The tents will be up (along with a Bouncy House and Kiddie Pool for the little ones) and the food and soft drinks will be flowing! Best of all, the camaraderie will be a joy.

If you haven't emailed or called with your RSVP, please do so now so that we can have an accurate food count.

Thank you again for sharing the day with us and giving us the opportunity to say thank you in person to all who are, have been, or will be a part of why we are in this business!

Until the 20th,

Your DMC Midwest Family

Thanks again Dave and Julee. Was an awesome Open House. Really enjoyed the setup and it was great to catch up with old friends and mingle with new people as well.

Hats off to Chris and the Midwest team for helping me earlier in the week with a quick SS repair to the hood. It is always a pleasure bringing my car in there to be serviced. Top notch staff and facilities, as can be seen by the pics and other user feedback.

Look forward to seeing you guys again soon.

Great job to whomever (Matt?) had the BTTF replica and some cool/unique items...just wondering what kind of metal you used for the rear exhaust vents???? Steel? Aluminum from Home Depot? How thick was the material? Great job!

Thank you to everyone who came to join DMC Midwest for our Customer Appreciation Day on June 20th!

A special thank you to Chris Nicholson for showing us his amazing artistry by doing a Stainless Rejuvenation Demonstration on the 2016 DCS raffle car. What an honor to have the very best in our house!

A few honorable mentions go out to Jeremiah, Brandt and Heather for set up help as well as all the owners who helped tear-down at the end of the day. You're the best!

A few event stats:

*15 Hotel rooms were reserved for at least 2 nights. The Comfort Inn thanks you!
*23 owners met for a group dinner on Friday night. The Village Squire thanks you!
*150 people joined us for day to feast on the wonderful Southern-Style Bar-B-Que lunch that was served (pulled pork, mac-n-cheese, baked beans and goodies). Lots of rave reviews for our Chef Seneca!
*About 10 kids enjoyed the Bouncy House, Kid's Pool, Blacktop Art and Wii set up especially for them.
*Over the 25 DeLoreans that we already had in our shop, an additional 36 DeLoreans came by to grace our blacktop.
*40 owners gathered for the after party pizza dinner. Nick's Pizza Pub thanks you!

*Farthest driven DeLorean honor goes to Chad Krause from Texas. Second Place goes to Steve Rice from Louisiana.
*Other states represented were:
-Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, North Carolina and Wisconsin as well as representation from Ontario, Canada!

*Other special interest DeLoreans:
-2016 Springfield, IL DCS Raffle Car;
-Jeremiah's VR6 Turbo DeLorean;
-Matt H's Back To The Future car;
-4 DeLorean entries from the "Carburetor Club".

Last but not least, we want to thank Stephen Wynne for his continued support. AND to our DMC Midwest Team for all their hard work leading up to the day and every day. Mike (Suzy), Jason, Jon, and Alex - you are definitely the best team in the business.

Once again, thanks to all of our DeLorean Customers and Friends who helped make this day (and for DMC Midwest - everyday) a success!

Stan

Hi Stan,

That would be my car. I have a thread post under the BTTF vehicles page titled "Hissem". I posted many pics of how I made the time machine without permanently altering or damaging the car. Everything can be removed while keeping the stock car intacked. There some obvious things I had to do, like remove the back corner windows. I did remove them carefully and safely. I took out the center console arm rest pad and replaced it with an aluminum plate that holds the time switch and power supply box. All the wires on the dash and time display panel and glove box gauges are all fitted snug without having to do or change anything to the dash. All the flux bands are attached brackets that overhang from inside the window. The time circuits located inside the rear windows are mounted to aluminum plates that fit the shape of the pontoons. The plates hold the hardware and don't interfere with the pontoons. I kept the back window in and covered it with an aluminum plate. The thickness of the three plates is .030 in. It is strong enough to hold everything and thin enough to form to the shape of the pontoons. The window panel and pontoon panels are screwed together, then brackets from that hold the flux bands. All that working together creates a sturdy non-destructive time machine. The exhaust towers and engine cover and plutonium chamber are all made of 1/8in. aluminum. The flux bands are also made of 1/8in. aluminum with LED lights under aluminum screen. I lightly welded on aluminum flexible electrical conduit to the inside and outside edges instead of solid aluminum tubing. The flux boxes are hollow and made with 1/8in. aluminum. I run the LED light wiring in and out of the boxes. The boxes on the front are mounted to the running light screw mounts. The flux bands all have a rubber pad that rubs on the bumper and body panels, so there is no metal on metal contact. The front flux band is welded to the flux boxes and has four bumper shaped formed pads to help keep it level and centered. Again, there were no hole drilling in anything.
Feel free to ask any questions and check out the "Hissem" page on BTTF vehicles.
