If you bring your car to an event what is reasonable compensation? Factoring in driving there. Let's say it's 4 hours to have a DeLorean parked.

Reasonable is whatever you decide is reasonable.

What is your time worth and what is the event? Is probably a better question to ask yourself.

There was a thread not to long ago about this and contracts. Check that one out, it should give you everything that you are looking for.

Reasonable is whatever you decide is reasonable.Well put.

If you're looking to rent out your DeLorean on a regular basis, even advertise for it, look around for some other guys doing similar things and see what they're charging, and go from there. If it's an occasional thing, some factors you might want to consider:

- Fuel costs
- Lost wages (any days off work?)
- Traveling expenses (hotel, food, etc.)
- Insurance costs
- Event type (nonprofit, for-profit, personal, etc.)
- etc.

Once you've figured out your "bottom line", you should have a pretty good idea of how much to charge. I threw the "event type" in there because oftentimes personal appearances will have lower budget (but also be more meaningful) than commercial ones, for example. If the charity means something to you, a discount would be a nice gesture.

But to reiterate what Chris said, it's whatever you want to charge. Keep in mind tha YOU are the seller, and THEY are the buyer, so if they don't like your price, they'll go a different route.

Check to make sure your auto insurance covers you while doing "an event for hire" I think that's an issue for some..

Depends how cute the models are!

On the other hand if you are letting folks take pictures there can be some Basic Instinct shots getting in and out and thats worth it too! especially if theres alcohol involved
