At last, I have some time to post some pictures comparing Spec I vs the UK exhaust. Some information:

Pros and cons - however you take it:

UK Exhaust:

-Flange material not as beefy as Spec I
-Headers are smaller
-Header pipes are not equal length
-Header to head flange are all separate to each pipe
-Uses no clamps, it is all bolt-up and go
-Uses copper gaskets between pipes that are readily available in the US if you do your homework on them
-Does not come with heat shield
-Every component comes polished
-Larger muffler with built in mounts
-I was able to choose sound level, not sure that is an option anymore
-CAT or straight pipe versions available
-Can install/remove starter with headers installed
-Can be used with Volvo Oil/coolant heat exchangers
-Uses existing engine mounting points
-1 O2 Sensor port (1 total)

DPI Spec I Exhaust:

-Thicker flange material
-One piece header to head flange
-Pipes seem to be larger diameter and equal length
-Use 4 clamps total per system
-Copper gaskets which I'm sure are readily available as well
-Heat shield included
-Only tips are polished
-Smaller more compact muffler
-Cat or straight pipe versions available
-Exhaust passages in the muffler are louvered
-Can install/remove starter with headers installed
-Can be used with Volvo Oil/coolant heat exchangers
-Muffler has built in mounts
-Mounts included for the engine
-1 O2 sensor port per header (2 total)

Both systems did not come with mount bushings or header to engine gaskets.

I will not comment on the sound produced by these, there are plenty of videos out there you can watch to get an idea on what these sound like.

The UK exhaust was a good exhaust and I had it for many, many years. However as you can see the quality of them just isn't there anymore and being that the company is located in the UK there is very little I am able to do to have them fix the "rust" issue. In the pros and cons I mention that the header/head flange is 1 piece, I'm not sure that this allows the pipes to move when hot but I had some gasket blow outs on one particular cylinder. It could have been from a bad cylinder head/manifold bolt but either way I thought I'd mention it. I also bring up the exhaust passages on the SPEC I: Because I cannot see inside the UK exhaust I can't tell what they did, but on Spec I the pipe is louvered (perhaps for back pressure) and most performance exhausts are perforated - I know, minor details but hey - I said I'd compare them.

Which ever exhaust you pick, the most time is spent removing the old exhaust if it is original. Installation does take some time, and you need to be careful of your starter wiring otherwise you'll have problems. Always disconnect the battery prior to this work and I'd recommend soaking the manifold studs/nuts with your favorite liquid penetration or similar.
