I am looking for some recommendations on a knowledgeable mechanic in the South Florida area. I am having hot-restart and a few other issues that some other mechanics haven't solved.

Try Foreign & Corvette Repair World. This is the local South Florida shop in the Margate, Coconut Creek, Coral Springs, Pompano Beach area (just a block away from the intersection of State Road 7/US 441 & Copans Rd/Royal Palm Blvd) that I use for any work on my DeLorean that does not require a special trip out of the local area to DMC Florida. They have been looking after my cars for over 25 years and are quite familiar with hot-start, K-jet, and most other DeLorean engine issues.
