Are there any challenges in removing the 2 plates covering the underside of the car. Is it required to remove , support or consider other parts, structures. ?
I wish to take care of some surface rust and rather than working under the car it would make sense to take them off and clean them properly.
Thanks

If you're talking about parts #:106733 & #:106734 :

Then, you only have 3 bolts to remove each of them.
Into the battery compartment and into the small luggage compartment behind the driver's seat.

I mean the 2 large triangular plates bolted to the underside of the chassis covering tank ect.

The fuel tank plate:

But that's only one plate.
You have to unbolt the 16 bolts to remove the plate, that's all.

You get to find all the treasures dropped down there over the past 35 years. I found a dime from 1969. Yay.
