3/4" measured in the middle of the span using moderate pressure.

If you can turn the alternator fan and the belt slips it is probably too loose. That belt doesn't need to be very tight. Too tight is very hard on the water pump and alternator bearings. If it is too loose you will also hear it slipping.

This is another, and easier, way to check belt tension which I most often utilize but thought he might be requesting something more definitive. Both ways work well.
