Hi
the Delorean I bought has a crappy lawn mower key ignition instead of the original. Anyone have an original ear Texas can rekey it to work with another Delorean key I have. Thank you

the physical key part where you insert the key into and turn the key. Currently, there is a lawnmower like key ignition thing and a lawn mower key that I am using :)

DMC Texas should be able to change the key combination on any stock key ignition unit to an older DeLorean key that I still have. Thank you

Oh ok. If it was the electrical part that would be easy....but, I think the key part is one of the hardest things to find, specially the part that goes into the electrical portion to turn it...Toby at DMCNW told me to make sure I never lose that.

You might check on the uk or european dmc sites?

I too had to find an ignition cylinder. Its tough but can be done. Otherwise a cylinder from an 81 Rover will work.

Maybe with DMC producing new cars over the next few years, they will be producing these again...along with some of the other NLA parts.

My car starts and works, not urgent, just be nice not to have a dumb little key. Thanks

I have the whole ignition lock, I'd rather sell it all together. Is that what you want? I'll take a picture of it tomorrow.
