Several members of the Pacific Northwest DeLorean Club had the pleasure of meeting Klaus, Andre, and Wolfgang as their caravan passed through our fair city.

We met them in Woodland just north of Vancouver Washington with a TV news crew from KGW Channel 8 on hand. They spent some time talking to local owners and did a live segment with the World Tour team during the noon news. Here's a link to the piece.

After the interview we piled into our cars and escorted our visitors down I-5 for the 30 minute drive to Portland where we stopped for lunch where they told us tales of their experience driving three DeLoreans around the world. Amazingly they encountered little in the way of problems with the cars and any difficulties had more to do with outside factors like local traffic and the US Government. We could have talked to them for hours but eventually they had to get on their way as they had a schedule to keep.

Below are a few pics of our time with them, Good luck and safe travels, gentlemen.

I consider it a bit of an honor leading them on part of their journey (granted for a very short duration of about 60 miles). Here's a pic I took as I pulled away and let them continue on to Eugene on their own.

Seeing the modifications they made to the car was also very impressive. While smart with what they did for the tires, I think I'll keep mine the way they are. :)

Yeah... It all came together kinda spur of the moment. Sorry if I missed anyone in the invites but I had a sense beforehand who might be able to attend and who was most likely working. Even though I organized it, it was looking like I wouldn't even be there until the last minute when I was able to sneak out of work for a couple hours.
