There are a small number of Deloreans which are completely unique for one reason or another. You don't need to use a VIN# to describe them.

Here are the beginnings of a list:

First Production Delorean (1)
Last Original Production Delorean (1)
Gold Deloreans (3)
Original Right-Hand Drive Deloreans (16)
Prototype Legend Twin Turbo Deloreans (3)
D-Rex the Monster Truck Delorean (1)
Back to the Future Deloreans (6 made, 3 remain)
Limousine Delorean (1)
Mirror-finish Delorean (1)

I guess it is fair to include Delorean's which were owned by famous people where the provenance can be established. Does anyone own any celebrity Deloreans?

Johnny Carson Delorean
others?

Any Deloreans with unique paint jobs or other unique one-of-a-kind conversions?

The black wide body custom car. His username was Protodelorean on the dot com site.

Ron's Screaming Yellow D and the trailer with it.

Eagle talon engine conversion cars (are there many of those? Unique?)

There's a D out there with some monster Grand National engine in it.

The electric conversion ones?

And I'm sure all the time machine guys each have something about their own car that they consider makes them unique.

Ya know if Jammer96 (Chris) chimes in, he can probably rhyme these all off in his sleep ;)

My car was once owned and operated by Bobby Allison. He signed both sun visors. Nobody under the age of 40 seems to know who he is, though, so I can't call it "The Bobby Allison Car" (I tried).

So now it's just "Sparky the AutoCarb."

Naming the DeLorean is not that strange, if you consider that they make boats from the same fibreglass! I call mine: "Ye Old Container".

We have a name here, the Plaza Delorean. This is only used in Hungary, because this was the one and only known Delorean in the country and it was stored in a Plaza's VIP parking place. Now it is much better, we know about 5 car's now.

Marc Levys VX35

in 2006 when I installed the VQ35, Kevin Abato started to call it the "scream machine". it stuck for a while, but in 2008 when I put the super charger on it, my girlfriend started calling it the "widow maker". Not because of the car, but because for all the weeks I was working on it she never saw me and called herself a "supercharger widow".

Martin and Dan from the UK called it "the zed car" when they drove it to Chicago in 2006.

Jordan likes to call it "the Datsun".

I don't think the name "Widow Maker" stuck as well as "Scream Machine".. But, I think most people refer to it as "the Nissan car" or "VQ". Or... 06068! :cool1:

Is your other car called "Softly, Softly"? ;) (Ask Martin about this one.)
