Excluding my Military footwear, I wear Black Canvas Converse all-star Hi tops.. (I got a few dollars together for a new pair of shoes and lucky for me, they were on sale for like 30-some dollars!) I know how much things like shoes mean here, as I saw in the DeLorean Nikes thread.

I'm a shoe collector. Mostly Jordan's BC they have the best overall value. Any relevent basketball shoe from the 80's and 90's. Not so much the new stuff, though I was given a pair of the Delorean Nike's from my cousin. As far as everyday shoes I wear DC's and Adio's. I do wear Fox shoes while driving my D. I wear a 13. They are thin and comfy.

Converse in my opinion are the best shoe for your dollar, they cost approximately $45 USD (I got mine in the 30 dollar range at a sale). They are very light weight, breathe very well and feel very comfortable, as the canvas is pretty much the only thing on the topside of your foot, without the plastic moldings in most shoes. Not to mention that converse shoes are easy to stow in a bag, as they can be pressed flat without a problem. For cutting grass, PT and whatever else I don't mind giving a beating to, in addition to keeping around just in case, I still have my old hole riddled shoes.

@yellowmxwheels23 Could you post some pictures of the exact shoes you were talking about? Kinda curious what they look like.

I mostly wear Dr Martens boots. I bought the first in 2000, but it needed replace in 2007. Great stuff. Now I have this:

I prefer to wear boots most of the time; alternating between either a pair of cowboy boots or German military surplus. The only time you'll find me wearing tennis shoes is when I'm mowing my lawn; I bought a pair of Converse high-tops for yard work 4 years ago and they're still holding up great. or when I'm wearing my running shoes for PT. I do have several pairs of slide-on dress shoes, but I prefer my boots.

I would wear sandals everywhere if I was allowed. When I have to wear shoes (at work) or in the winter outside I wear Birkenstock's. I never could figure out why shoes are not shaped like your foot (wide at the front). So my $200 Birkenstock's are the only ones shaped correctly. To bad the old brand name "earth shoes" are not available anymore.

I've got nerve damage in my feet so I wear the softest shoes I can find, which are usually Saucony Cohesions. I have about 5 pair. I also have 2 pairs of Doc marten's with soft orthotic insoles in them. I'm glad the DeLorean doesn't have a stiff clutch.

I used to wear my dutch army boots daily. But those are long dead now, after 8 years of service. I have been wearing a pair of Nikes since 2005, and they are really on their last legs. I just don't want to go out and buy new ones. Shoes are expensive. I've gorilla glued the soles back on a couple of times now. I am surprised that they held on this long. Next month is a 5 week paycheck month, so I might go out and get a new pair.

M-F 8-4 I have to wear safety shoes. The Plant Engineering office area is in the heart of the nuclear plant and to get to it you have to have the steel toes (which are really composite/plastic toes so you don't have to take them off every time you go through the metal detectors at security).

I have a couple pairs of Docs. Never the lace up high boots, but more of the low cut loafer pairs. I have this black and white pair that is sweet, but damn if that leather isn't hard to work in. She digs into the bottom of your ankle bone like something else.

4428

I've always been partial to Asics. Partly for the running, but originally for playing volleyball. Once upon a time you used to be able to get all kinds of Asics Tigers, but not so much anymore.

4429

I almost always drive the D in a pair of Asics cause they're comfy and fairly narrow.

Both my dress shoes & casual shoes these days are Steve Maddens. I miss my Diesel shoes, but I can't afford that habit anymore. If I'm not at work though, odds are I'm wearing flips flops. :)

Hey, you ever have a pair of Nike Air Huarache's? Man were they sweet. For a year or two in high school I think our whole basketball team wore them. We had black pairs that had a bit of purple in them. They were super light and actually had a fairly flimsy top with a hole cut out for your ankle bone. And they were almost some kind of suede feeling material. What love to get a pair of those bad boys back.

Here's a pic of the white and blue ones, can't find a pic of the black and purple ones.

Ok, just read up on them in this website. Yea, 1992. At the height of the Michigan Fab Five. I love Duke nowadays, but back in da day everyone wanted to be liked Jalen Rose or Chris Webber.

I was going to say those came out late 92 or 93 bc the Air Jordan VII was the first nike to have that kind of style (no ankle support, neoprene sockliner) I didn't have any of those but did pick up a pair of Huarache 2k4 when those came out.
