Saturday June 25, 1:00 PM - You're invited to our 2nd annual cruise night in Ottawa, ON, Canada! All DeLoreans are welcome from near and far - especially if you're in the Eastern Ontario, Western Quebec or Northern New York area. So far we have 8 cars coming and we are hoping for about a dozen this year. For full details, please see our ad on the ODOC website here: http://odoc.ca/event/2nd-annual-odoc-national-capital-meet/

The National Capital region also has lots of other activities going on that weekend if owners wish to make a longer stay. With a 75 cent CDN/USD exchange rate, it's a nice cheap trip for our US neighbours to the south. Ottawa is only 50 miles to the New York border. Below are a few events that draw visitors from near and far:

• Rib Fest on Sparks Street Mall: http://ottawaribfest.ca/
• Dragon Boat Festival: http://www.dragonboat.net/
• Ottawa Jazz Festival: http://ottawajazzfestival.com/

For car buffs, there’s also the National War Museum (downtown) that does have a good collection of military vehicles – and even contains Hitler’s personal Mercedes from the 1940’s. http://www.warmuseum.ca/

I've also attached some pictures from last year's event. Hope to see you there!

This is just a shameless bump on the thread seeing we're less than one month away from the meet. I can also mention that we now have 10 DeLoreans! :rock_on:confirmed for the day with a few more members firming up plans as we speak. Are we able to push that number to 15?? We may actually have representation from at least three provinces there - Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick. Would love to see some of our Northern New York neighbours join in. I think there's a few owners around the Syracuse/Watertown area?

We also have our northern DeLorean guru Justin Sookraj coming from Wells Auto. No on-site work to be done on cars that day, but if you have some lingering questions about your car or discuss possible work to be done at his shop in the future this would be a great time to ask them in person. I just had a list of about 25 things done to the car at his shop and can't stress how impressed I am with his work. :notworthy: One of the big items he did was convert my AC to R134. I've been enjoying nice ice cold cruising ever since!

Just a follow-up on this thread... We had a great turnout with 11 DeLoreans in attendance as well as 3 Bricklins! Of the 11 DeLoreans, two were rare Canadian spec cars showed. We're still trying to hunt down more than half of the Canadian cars. Of 88 made, only about 30 seem to have survived to date. We also had a local radio station show up and lots of onlookers. We plan on growing this meet again next year for our 3rd annual gathering!
