door panel repair?

Hi-I am in Columbus, Ohio, and would like to find someone who could possibly repair a minor door panel blemish on my '83. It basically looks and feels like the metal isn't smooth in about a grapefruit sized area. Any ideas how I might be able to find someone to do this work? Is it rocket science, i.e. is this something I could possibly tackle myself? Thanks, RJ

First would be to investigate the physics in your garage that allows you to park on the ceiling...hehe.
