So I've slowly been contacted by several owners from Virginia, which caught me by surprise. I didn't find much VA-based DMC activity while searching the interwebs, and this channel seemed very inactive. So, if you're from this general area and would like to make yourself known, say hello here and give some details on your car if you like. Greetings from Texas, to our east coast friends,

Sorry for butting in, but I felt compelled add the following information to this thread, as I am the keeper of the new DeLorean Owners Directory (http://www.DeLoreanOwnersDirectory.net) (DOD).

From thread posts so far, I count eight DeLoreans. If you had been a member of the DOD (I found only one of the eight), you could have downloaded the directory and found the names, city, VIN and email address of:


14 active & verified members in Virginia
13 active & verified members in Maryland

Obviously I can't give out names, locations and email addresses. But if you were to join the DOD, you yourself could have access to the list of owners in your vicinity. This is fact, is one of the purposes of the DOD.

As an aside, I note the DeLorean Registry shows:


94 VINs in Virginia
11 VINs in DC
121 VINs in Maryland

And finally just to clarify, the Registry is a list of all known VINs, and information about each car, but without personal owner information. The DOD is a list of owners and their contact information provided on a voluntary bases by the owners themselves, and shared only with other DOD members.

I can understand about life getting in the way Steve and don't worry we plan on being around for a long time and we look forward to having you and please go to the website and join as it costs nothing like other clubs to join and we generally try to meet up once a month and discuss things that we would like to do in the club since we're just slowly getting this off the ground. I think you and I have chatted before maybe on Facebook and I believe on here as well. We will meet up in different locations to make it fair for other people that may live a little bit of a distance away so that way they don't have to drive as far. Hope to chat with you soon and definitely hope to see you as well with your DeLorean!

So Paul, Christian and I met up last week (new years day) and had tossed around the idea of some day trying to meet at the Dulles Cars-N-Coffee which happens every Sunday. It's a bit more east. I've talked to another guy (Matt?) who goes pretty regularly, and he says he meets up with yet another owner there from time to time. It's 12 minutes from my house, so I'm happy to go at a moments notice. I might swing by this weekend, weather permitting. In fact, there's a couple D's on the FB page!

Oh yes and we would love to travel to different locations and it would be great to get out to different settings and accommodate other owners who would like to join. Like I stated, we're just getting the club off the ground and only met up a few times recently but Paul would agree, we would like to get out and meet others and travel to work with the members who live further than others.

I'm planning to take the car out to Katie's C&C tomorrow and to Dulles on Sunday. its been over 2 months since ive gone out to a C&C with either holidays or inclement weekend weather.

Hey Matt- one of these days we might actually make it to the same C&C. :-) Seems we alternate. I was at Katie's the weekend before, thinking you might be there, and I couldn't go this past weekend due to a business trip.

The Tri-State DeLorean club had a very nice turnout today and we got another new member to our group and his name is Matt! He has a beautiful September built 1981 DeLorean that is in Supreme condition, also are other newest member Rick showed up with his wonderful looking DeLorean as well! Great turnout despite the extreme cold!

I am in Montana near the north east entrance would love to have dmc groups come here and tour the beartooths. Got room to care for everyone on my property and the cars too. Wayne my better half was the last apprentice of Harley earl and dad worked at gm as a model maker with John D on the gto.So we can handle repairs trouble if need be. Come play in Montana ? Mary

Hi! There has been some action, it’s just taking place on a different platform. There’s a group of us near VA Beach that get together on a regular basis. We’ve tried to get more people together but we usually just end up with a bunch of excuses. We’ve pretty much given up advertising it on here.

I think part of the problem is that most VA owners are near DC.
