Or, if anyone has any tips on refurbishing the holes on an original one that's in really good shape otherwise. A PO tightened the screws too hard on 2100 and 2 of the screws pull straight through to the other side now.

Fiberglass might have been better than ERM on this one ;-)

PM me if you've got a spare!

Don't have a spare unfortunately but you might consider a repair option. Fill in the holes with JB Weld and make sure to also have in an appropriately sized bolt thats been greased up. Once the JB Hardens you should then be able to turn them out and shave any excess. In theory you should have a good solid surface for the bolts to interface with at this point.

Jon, you can practice that on my bezel which needs the screw holes repaired to:wave:

This is such a common problem. Mine has one missing screw for the same reason. I've seen many others are the same. I would lay some fiberglass cloth with epoxy over hole inside if I ever get around to it.

Whoa, weren't those out of stock? Nice, thanks Dave!

That's an interesting idea as well. Now that I see they're available from Houston I might get bolder in my repair efforts, since a replacement is possible.

Try the guys over in the UK. A standard UK plate is longer that the US plates, so many of them have switched to a Euro style frame that one of the members makes. They may be willing to part with their old US one.

Shipping of course would be an issue.
