If I live in south Florida where it never gets cold, should I just use summer tires all the time?

I’ve been running all seasons, been here 8 years-no issues.

Yes, you can say goodbye to winter tires. 8). However, make sure to monitor the tread depth, and replace them at or before they get down to the wear indicators. Rain is the worry here. The skies really open up at times, especially in the summer.
Required equipment in Florida:
Sunglasses
Window tint (ceramic is even better)
Windshield cover/shade.
Patience for tourists
An eye for picking a parking space that has shade

And mosquito repellent for when you’re out fiddling with something on the car in the afternoon.

It's hard to even find tires not rated for all season. If you can find them they run a lot quieter than all season tires.

Agreed. Good point. To me summer tires = all season
Winter tires= season specific, usually with an aggressive tread pattern, option for studding, and a softer rubber compound.

Thanks, gang! I'm looking into summer tires. Might be hard to find something that matches tread front-to-back quite as easily as all-season radials, but I've got time to shop around.
Yeah, the mosquito situation here is ... Well, let's just say I was working on the car toward dusk and I just had to shut the garage. LOL

No definitely not! Summer tires don't work in December regardless of the temperature. I'd be sure to use winter washer fluid too. :umm:

I ended up at Pep Boys today to buy tires. For the fronts I went with one of their house brands, Definity HP 800. For the rears I went with the Mickey Thompson Sportman S/T. They're both all-weather radials. The Mickey Thompsons have white letters on one side, but the tread is symmetrical so you can mount them with the black side out, which is the option I took.
The Definity has a reputation of being a pretty quiet tire that performs well in wet weather. Same for the Mickey Thompson.
Here are some pretty bad pictures for anyone interested. LOL
