Mine is coming Monday it looks like... It should be a stainless with second or third generation muffler, and good cats (California is still a stickler on this one...)

Looks like I need to order the flange gaskets, manifold gaskets, and clamps (2 or 4?).

My current mounting bushings seem to be in good shape...

Studs might be helpful too - but what else?

I currently have one of Hervey's heatshields, does that get re-used?

Mine is due to come Friday evening, but ill be picking mine up at 4 am at the UPS warehouse to try and make it to the DCF car show. I picked up the flange gaskets, exhaust gaskets, new studs with stainless washers and bolts. Other than that I believe reuse the exhaust bushings. Josh didn't mention anything when I last talked to him though I don't think

Unfortunately, I have to accept the s/s exhaust system as part of the package deal.
I don't really need this s/s exhaust system as I already have a s/s exhaust system from the UK.

So... if anybody's interested in getting a DMC Houston s/s exhaust system a bit cheaper than their regular sales price is for a stage 1 option, please message me privately.

We have resorted to owners who upgrade to our system selling their old components on their own. We still offer our SPEC I upgrade and also our SPEC Cat back kit that deletes the converter and includes our custom single in dual out muffler assembly.

SPEC Cat back kit is 995.00 but not listed on the site yet and is everything from the converter to the muffler tips.

Lifetime warranty on both systems stainless components from our manufacturer Stainless Works.

Finally getting ready to install mine... The stock exhaust came off in about 90 minutes with no incidents at all.

I assume I should bolt up the headers tight, then put the cats on loose, then get the muffler in place and bolted up tight, tighten the cats to the headers, and then last clamp the cats to the muffler.

Copper grease on all threads?

Any final words of wisdom appreciated.

PS - still working through replacing axles, seals, changing gear oil and bearings, so I won't have it on the road for a while. Bought the stuff when I had time but no money, now its shifted back a bit the other way.

I have a Spec 1 as part of my Spec 2 build. I installed the exhaust like this:

I bolted the headers on tight (passenger side may require you to re-route your starter wires)

I bolted on the muffler brackets

I hung the muffler to the brackets with the rubber mount thingies

I slipped the cats on to the mufflers, and then swung them up against the headers, and bolted those together.

For DMC stage 1 - Are any heat shields other than the ones bolted to the cats, and the muffler heat shield required? I have removed the heat shields around the old cat, the starter/alternator etc...
