so i bought a pair of easy rider 1 front shocks.

i took the old ones out (stock) and between the spacers were some washers.

i put the new shock in but noticed i couldnt get the washers to fit next to the spacers. i looked at the DMCH diagrams and dont see a part numbers for any washers and it looks like theres just the spacers on each side.

what gives?

any one know what im talking about? are the washers needed?

Can you post any pictures?

There shouldn't be any washers in the stock setup between the lower end of the shock and the LCA, but Hervey's easy rider front shocks I believe need approximately 1/2" of spacer on either side (unless they have changed).

Here's a picture of the new DMC/Delorean EU adjustable shock (top) versus OEM Girling units. There is an integrated spacer on both. No washer needed.

thank you! sorry i dont have any pics to post at the moment. when i took out the bottom 19mm bolt the spacers fell out along with 2 washers. (not to be confused with the washers holding the 19mm bolt in) i tried to put the shock back in that way with the washers and spacers but it made the whole process impossible. if youre saying there are no washers to be had between the spacers i will take your word for it
