...A SHITTY ONE!

Hilariously enough, that's not even the right radio OR the right car. That's one of the pre-production models. You can tell by the windows. :)

Actually, that's Proto 1 and *possibly* the same radio that was in Proto 1 at the time of this campaign in mid-70s.

So for the period in which the ad was run, it's correct.

Finally, the Craig radio was a better than average radio for the era, as well. Two of the earliest employees left Craig in the early 70s to form Pioneer.

Dermot, thanks for posting that ad, I've been looking for it.

You're welcome James. It's not often the flow of information is reversed :)

Here are a couple of shots of an actual newspaper ad for the old Vegas dealership I took some years ago. Last I knew, these are still hanging up in the Caesars' Palace EDR.

I had found two pictures on Tamir's site.

That was our local Delorean dealership back in the day. Back in 2006 or 2007 I went to look at all their Delorean parts stock. They had quite a lot of things left over including a turbo setup Delorean. I made them an offer on all the parts but sadly they said they weren't interested in selling. Even worse....the building where all the parts were house burned to the ground a few months later.

So sad to hear such a story :(
The turbo set was probably a good one.

"purchasers of inventories" Wonder what other unique inventories they have purchased other than the DMC's... ? Is that the company that founded Big Lots??

"Yes" to the Big Lots question.
