Hate to do it, but need to save up to buy a house. I purchased this car in 2005 and to the best of my research I am the 5th owner. This car is in very good condition, I have done a lot of work to it over the last 6 years (detailed below). At one point it was my daily driver and it always functioned reliably.

Smog is current (Passed 9/2011)
Title is free and clear, in hand

New fuel distributor 2005
Valve adjustment performed 2007
New tension pulley bearings 2007
New belts 2006
Cooling system rebuild (including all new hoses, NEW RADIATOR, thermostat, etc) 2009
Stainless steel updated coolant tank installed 2007
New T-panel finisher 2006

New fuel pump 2005
Fuel accumulator replaced 2006
Fuel filter replaced 2006
Trailing arm trim tabs replaced 2007
Trailing arm bushings replaced 2007
Drive shaft seals replaced 2007
Steering rack rebuild 2007
Tie rod ends replaced 2007
Steering column bushing replaced 2006
Center console air vents replaced 2007 (very rare part)
Dash, binnacle, and center console rebuilt 2007
Instrument panel reconditioned 2008
New console switches (all) 2007
New dome lights installed 2008
New shifter boot 2007

Updated stainless braided clutch line installed 2006
Rebuilt clutch master cylinder installed 2006
Clutch fluid flushed and replaced 2006
Passenger side torsion bar replaced 2007
Torsion bars adjusted into spec by DMC Garden Grove 2007

There is more than whats listed, including a stash of replacement parts that I keep for future use. Everything goes with the car. I am asking $26,000 or best reasonable offer

If you want to have an easier time selling it, take some pictures of the frame and the underbody.

I'd also take off the seat covers and show what's underneath. For a 26k car, everything should be immaculate.

What we can see so far does look good, though!

Another case of the post count and join date not telling the true story of the person at the keyboard ;)

Nathan was one of the more regular posters when I first started browsing through the old .com site in 2008. He had posted some great how-to's back then, specifically one about replacing the driveshaft seals on a manual transmission. Pictures of his car on the old site showed his level of attention to detail. I'm sure he'll post more pics soon now that they've been requested.

If I was going to buy another DeLorean today, his would be high on my list.

Interesting recover of the dash, no speaker holes. Relocated speakers for the front?

The car is in storage at my dads place, so I can get some extra pics for anyone who is seriously interested.

The interior restoration is 70% complete. Seats still need a recover job, the originals are pretty bad because the car started its life in the AZ sun.

Speakers were relocated under the dash. Was supposed to be a temporary fix until DMCH got their act together with the new dashes/binnacles.

Frame is good. When I bought it I went under and removed some flaking epoxy, underneath was shiny metal NO rust. I applied a coat of anti corrosion paint of some kind temporarily and intended to go over the entire frame with the correct gray paint.

Angle drive just pooped out before I stopped driving it regularly, I have the replacement but it is not installed. Have not driven it much in the last 2 years outside of just giving it some exercise here and there.

All in all, this is a solid Delorean, NOT a barn find. The asking price is certainly negotiable, my wife insisted I try to sell it for 26K

Re: DMCtalk.com, damn shame the old site is gone. There was a lot of good info in it, im surprised the admin or owners have not salvaged the data and linked the archive to this site. Lots of good how to guides, etc. Oh well. I also noticed the free discussion is no longer free, bad move on the owners part IMO. But, opinions are like...well...;)

Thanks for checking out my car.

I'm looking at two others right now . As much as I want one right this moment I also don't want buyers remorse by jumping into one without seeing what's out there. The longer I wait the more informed I can be , so no hurry
