I know it's late notice, but just wanted to let you guys know I'm taking the D to this car show tomorrow. If anyone is interested in joining or just swinging by to say hi, here are the details:

I may accidentally be passing ;)

Are you going to Caffeine & Octane on Sunday morning. Northview HS parking lot for the last time (next month I understand it will be on the West side of 400). I will show up for a little while just to see what is going on as it is so close.

8:30 am - 11:00, but don't forget the time changes Sunday morning also.

I'm going to "try" to make it to C&O, because I'd really like to go, but it all depends on how the sleeping goes Saturday night. No big plans, so there's a good chance.
Hope to see you tomorrow too!

Alright Dermot, I'm awake and about to head down to C&O. Will probably be there around 9:30. Hope to see you there. (since I didn't see you yesterday!!) :mad1::tongue2:

Dermot Dermot Dermot..... once again you leave me hanging..... What a guy! :rolleyes1:

 Well, I went to C&O, and walked around checking out the cars for about 45 minutes. Didn't see you, but there was a big crowd. Did you make it?
I'll agree with a lot of the comments I've read lately about C&O, there are some really nice cars there, but about 85% is stuff I'm barely interested in. It's really a shame that on my long walk from the visitor parking area to the show, I saw a bunch of badass cars like BMW M3s, M5s, a couple of Ferraris, a Lotus, etc... parked among the visitor cars, presumably because when they arrived the show area was full. But then in the show area there were completely stock normal "common" cars that you see on the road 100 times per day. That shouldn't be.
Oh well, I don't regret making the trip, but won't be going every month. Interesting to see the venue so that I could compare it to the previous and next one. Maybe in the spring will be my next attendance.

Sean, I'll get some pics from yesterday up in a little bit....

Ah, crap, sorry Derek, didn't make it to either. I knew yesterday was a busy day but I was hoping to be able to swing by and see the show.

I could lie and say I was there, but I wasn't. :(. This morning was just a CRAFT moment. I had planned to go over with my son, but the morning just flew by without either one of us remembering, right up until about an hour ago.

I found the NHS setting a little odd last month. Unless you know the school or have been there before, you would naturally park in the first lot, even if you werent showing. A couple of signs for visitors and participants would be useful. Last month the M3 guys seemed to be having their own little gtg up in Th main lot also.

Yeah I first deliberately drove past Parsons Rd and pulled into the school's main entrance, only to be greeted by the closed gate. So I drove back out and went around the block and went in the long and tedious way, only to park about 50 feet on the inside of that same closed gate. Later, there were plenty of cars trying to leave that way, only to have to turn around and follow the maze back to the entrance near the show. Pretty dumb to only have that one entrance/exit open. I guess maybe it's because they only have the one cop to sit and watch people leaving there, but I can see what you mean.... the bottom 1 or 2 tiers were entirely regular cars. Looking forward to seeing the next venue.

Here are some pics from Saturday. Harsh sunlight the best photos does not make, (too high contrast) but I did my best. Mine was the only D.

You can barely see it, but the JVC video camera is on the bottom-left.

Closer shot of my friend's 1981 Corvette. He's had it since high school, and spent the last 2 years replacing the engine with a modern Corvette engine. It has something like 450 horsepower.

This was probably the most interesting of the other cars there. The only other "exotic" was a Ferrari 308. The yellow car is a "Superlite Coupe," and the owner told me it has 625 horsepower, does 0-60 in 3 seconds, will do 90mph in 2nd gear, and 160mph in 4th. He almost never uses all 6 gears.
