My Dad has always admired Packards and I'm just starting looking into getting him one... have any suggestions aside from the usual sources?

Join the local branch of the AACA and talk to the members there. It's your best bet to find a well cared-for car at a good price.

If i could swing it, a MKIV Supra.

I still have a thing for 3rd Gen GTA trans am's, Grand Nationals, Infiniti FX35's, or a nice Ford F150 or 250 4x4.

Im also a huge fan of the 03 Blown Cobras.

My dream garage:

Two Deloreans.
Mercedes 240d
A HUGE vintage Cadillac Sedan of some type
300SL
550 Spyder(I'd be ok with a replica. But if I could own the rest on this list, I'd obviously have a real one).
Lamborghini Miura
Mercedes G55
Late model Porsche 911 Tubro

The last two would be my daily use cars.

Thats excellent advice. I'm currenly a member of my local AACA, the only DeLorean, but you should see some of the cars there. The one that comes to mind is a beautiful 1941 Packard Deluxe in navy blue.

Oh yeah, I've always had a thing for the Manta.

Too much to list... But for $h1ts and giggles in order of yes to extremely unlikely:

- Bug (63 ragtop, herbie style)
- Mustang (64-65 coupe, 67-73 fastback)
- Torino (70-71)
- Charger (68 )
- Challenger (71-71)
- DeLorean (duh)
- Falcon XB (hacked up mad max style)
- Ferrari 308 (magnum PI anyone?)
- Ferrari 328 (magnum PI on roids)
- 911 (air cooled)
- Countach

But in the end, when it comes to old and American I'd rock a 4 door as long as it has a V8 under the hood.

I'm confused.

Why is an XJS less realistic than an RR ?

I'm confused.

Why is an XJS less realistic than an RR ?

Maintenance costs and priorities. If I had the chance at the two cars, I'd buy the Rolls Royce first.

Hey Chad,

If you happen to attend the DMC Club Winter Brunch next month,
I have plenty of photos from the Barrington Concours event.

Best in Show was the 1939 Cadillac V16 4-door (with rumble seat).
(That car had my vote from the first moment I saw it).

I will see if I can locate a good one to post here. Awesome car !!

Later,
Rich W.
