I put a Dual XML8100 in my car almost two years ago, and I think I may have mentioned it once on the .com forum, but recently I've seen a few threads about stereo head units, figured I might as well throw my $.02 in.

I really like this one. I'm not a big audiophile, all stereos really sound the same to me, the function/appearance is what really made me buy it. It sounds fine to me.

It looks kind of retro, so it doesn't clash with the interior, the colors are good, and most importantly, it's SIMPLE to use. I am so sick not understanding how to use every other aftermarket stereo on the planet. This is perfect to me.

Flip it open and you can put your ipod/iphone in it. It does charge the phone, and you can control whats playing/volume by either pressing the screen or the buttons on each side of the ipod/phone.

When it's flipped open, it does not interfere with using the headlight/hazard buttons, and even though the phone is vertical, it's not too high to affect the air vents.

No CD, a non-issue to me. Any music I listen to is already on my phone.
