Is there a way to hide / ignore a thread?

I like to browse 'New Posts' whenever I visit the site, but some threads keep popping up and I have no interest in seeing them.

How can I hide or ignore a single thread? (For example, "This or That")

No but that thread gets posted on quite often, and I visit the forum quite often.
