why aren't i recieving activity e-mails

Since the new site went live I haven't been receiving any e-mail from it. I did get the birthday message today (thank you). But I am not recieving any other e-mails like notifications if private messages or notifications of a posting in a thread. I thought I made the necessary changes in my user cp but still nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

I had to manually subscribe to threads. Once you do, you'll get emails.

There is a profile setting that will allow instant subscribing to threads you post to. This must have been enabled by default in the old forum.

Also, it will notify just once for each thread until you visit the forum again. This is done to avoid filling up your inbox :p
