I missed this over the holidays: new, unreg 1983 car (vin 16791, not on the vin-list Shannon !) 1600 miles
Unfortunately no pics yet (and auction is over without a buyer not surprisingly, but I think we'll be seeing more of this one)
only $31,500.
Wonder if you can register a car with damaged paperwork like this?

1600 miles and never registered. Is it possible? BTW it doesn't worth this much.

I've seen a Fiat X1/9 that was new and unregistered with almost 30,000 miles on it. The way they were able to achieve that is driving it around with a dealer plate. Of course, this was a few years ago at a former Fiat dealership(along with and still is a Subaru, Kia and Mazda dealership) and the owner of the dealership used it during the summer.

Very possible. We have one here with 1800 miles, still on the MSO, and the paperwork is a lot prettier. 1981 Grey 5-speed. Completely original, unrestored, and not running. Not really priced either.
They are out there.

Heh, I was intrigued by the damaged paperworks. Thirty-year old papers look more like over a hundred in those photos.
Looks like it is already sold?

If you look at the bid history (on the right side of the ebay page, you can see that he had one offer of $15,000 (surprising considering there is no proof that the car itself actually exists) and it was declined.
So make him an offer, Domi ;)

I wish, but I don't have the money

The Ebay link is no longer good. The paperwork indicates a 5 speed. What was the interior color?

Link seems OK, you just have to scroll down. Color is listed as grey.
