I've scanned my own PJ Grady sourced Workshop, Bulletin and Technical manuals for my own use, as well as my Volvo Engine Repair and Maintenance, Reconditioning and CI Fuel System manuals. These are reasonably high-quality scans (ScanSnap document scanners are quite handy for this sort of thing), but the really nice bit is that I've run them all through FineReader's OCR software to create searchable PDFs of each manual. Since OCR isn't 100%, I converted it using the "text under images" mode (I call it a "hybrid" file). This means that the searchable text (which will be mostly correct) isn't visible on the page, as the original scanned image (which is actually correct) is laid over it. These scans are color where applicable (and sometimes where not).

I put them all on my DropBox and sync them to my computers, iPhone and iPad (through GoodReader) so that they're always available. The files clock in at 8 to 35 MB each (85 MB total).

I tried to attach them to this forum post directly, but only the smallest (~5 MB) file would upload. I figure I probably hit a file size limit (odd that it doesn't tell you that until AFTER it's uploaded the file). I've put them all in my DropBox's Public folder instead. If an admin would like to move them to the forum proper, it would be much appreciated.

Anyway, enjoy!

These are great! I just checked them out and the OCR seems solid, searching works well. Great job!

For DMC-WorkshopManual-Hybrid.pdf, Adobe Reader gives me "The file is damaged and could not be repaired".

EDIT: Got it. Went to delete the D/L and there was none, tried D/L againand got the same message. I thought it was odd that the reader would be reporting an error when I tried to D/L it again. Killed the browser and tried again with success.

Anyway, SweeeeeeeT. THANKS!!!

Your download might have gotten interrupted, that one worked for me for sure - it's the most interesting! :)

Does anyone happen to have one of these for a 3.0?

Buddy: Sometimes you can find .pdfs of Mopar shop manuals for sale online. I have no idea if they're legit, but they can save you hundreds of bucks over hard copies from Mopar. They can either send you a CD with the manual on it, or you can download it. (I found one for my '06 PT Cruiser this way.)

Back on topic: Great work and thanks to the OP. I was working on an html version of the shop manual, but I can happily abandon that project now. :)

I'm (very) slowly working on a 3.0L conversion on my car, so I picked up a 1990 Monaco/Premier 3.0L Engine Overhaul Student Reference Manual and a 1990 Monaco/Premier Service Manual. I think they were $10 each on Ebay, although the latter was in pretty rough shape.

The Student Reference Manual is specifically about the 3.0L engine, and covers how to take it apart and put it back together again. It's pretty handy, but it's missing some details (like information about the tappets on the rocker arms). It doesn't cover anything related to the electrical system, fuel, cooling, etc.

The Service manual is a 830+ page book about everything on the Premiere/Monaco, including the engine, fuel system cooling system, wiring, etc.

You can download both from my public dropbox. Both manuals are searchable.

Those links in the First post won't open for me either. Here is a link to the DMCNEWS Technical bulletin info.:

Interesting; I just tried the first two links and they download fine. I'm not sure what the problem might be. They're hosted through Dropbox.

I'm not surprised they worked for you, since you created them. I use an iMac running OS X w/Safari. I also tried Fire Fox and it wouldn't open either. Just got the spinning wheel of death. It could be just something in the settings on my end. Either way it's no big deal for me. I just thought the other link might be helpful if others had issues.

Those links are big download files. First one is 58 MB and second is 634 MB

I also use a Mac running OS X 10.11.1 with Safari 9.0.1. Downloading from my machine should be identical to downloading to yours, since we're both clicking a forum link to get it from Dropbox -- I created them, but I'm not hosting them myself. Other variables could be connection speed, system memory, and hard disk speed.

The files range in size from 8.4 MB to 665 MB (the Eagle/Premier manual). The Technical Manual is the smallest one, actually. You may want to try to right click on the link and choose Download Linked File to download the file to disk, instead of just clicking to open the PDF in your browser.

Joe,

I tried your right click download link suggestion. The session eventually timed out with 0 KB downloaded. I'm also using an iMac running OS X 10.11.1 with Safari 9.0.1. No firewalls.

Fwiw: I have Charter Spectrum w/ 60 MB rate download capability. (Verified)

I just tried the link again and it worked fine. I'm in the northeast US; it's possible that the data isn't on some other Dropbox servers and it's having trouble syncing/resolving to the more local servers, or something like that. I'm pretty sure Dropbox uses Amazon S3 to store their files (like many others do), so you'd think they wouldn't have those issues.

I was going to upload them directly to my website, but my host (SquareSpace) really doesn't want to become a file server, so they only allow 20 MB per file upload, so I can't put most of them up there.

I've decided to try something else, archive.org. They'll basically keep files you upload forever as part of their internet archive. Seems like a good place for DMC manuals. From this page (https://archive.org/details/DeLoreanMaintenanceManuals) you can click to download the individual PDFs (click "PDF" on the right to see them), or download a torrent if you want to try it that way.

I have a new manual for everyone -- the Renault MR215, which is the shop manual for the 4139-4141 automatic transmissions (the DeLorean uses the 4141). It's a useful supplement to Section G of the DeLorean Workshop Manual. It is OCR'ed and thus searcha

Rafael sent me a scan of the Renault 4141 Service Manual, 1977, English Edition (https://www.dropbox.com/s/1hbha9ehi9v2a85/Renault%204141%20Service%20Manual%201977%20English %20Edition.pdf?dl=0) which I've put it up on my site for download. Thanks, Rafael!

I forgot I was providing archive.org links to. I've uploaded the transmission manuals there as well: https://archive.org/details/DeLoreanAutomaticTransmissionManuals

Hey man!

That is absolutely awesome for a noob like me, who has to look everything up 5 times before turning a single wrench. Being able to search through these are going to make life (in the garage) so much easier. Thanks a million. :jawdrop:

BTW: I got all of them to work except this one. https://www.dropbox.com/s/xclvsoicl2qt5rw/Renault%20MR215%20-%204139-4141%20Auto%20Trans%20Shop%20Manual.pdf?dl=0

When downloaded I get a 405 page blank document and acrobat reader says "Unexpected error 14". Can someone confirm that the link works?
