For Sale Post Admin Approved - Mike :)

I have a 1982 DeLorean I would like to sell. The car is missing the driver side door torsion bar, transmission computer (car is auto trans), everything that has anything to do with the electrical system, and a few other things (list at bottom). The engine has a little over 26,000 miles and was running perfect last time it was driven 11 years ago.

The history of this car: The car was a daily driver in perfect mechanical condition till it was involved in an accident. There was front end damage to the car. The only part of the front to escape damage was the driver side fender.

It was taken to a Jaguar repair shop in South Florida that specialized in DeLorean repair. It sat there for a couple of years waiting to be fixed. I finally had enough of a wait and had the car brought back to me. Once I had it at home, I discovered all of the missing parts from the car. The condition of the interior was not mint like it was before the shop. I phoned the owner only to be insulted and threatened. I did not take it to court as I did not have the time or energy since I was planning to move out of the country shortly after. Though the owner of that Jaguar repair shop may not have fought Goliath, he certainly did come out the Wynner in this.

Fast forward to now. I no longer live in the United States but the car is still on my father's property in Miami, FL. It's been there for years and I've come to the conclusion that I am just never going to fix it. The best thing for me to do is sell the car.

The mechanics of the car should still be good. Body panels are not perfect, but excellent, The undamaged driver side fender is included though not shown in the photos. I am asking for the best offer over $3,000USD for everything. You are welcomed to go to the property by appointment to inspect the car on weekends. Please feel free to ask my any questions. albertsiegel gmail com

Best of luck with the sale. Sad story too about the car. Hopefully someone will buy it and bring it back to life.

I exchanged a few emails with Albert back on the old site. He seems to have had quite a ride with this car.

Ah, another Jag Shop pilfered parts from a customer's car vehicle. Sorry to hear that.

In hindsight, if anyone ends up buying the car and is physically coming down to pick it up, send me a PM and i'll take you out to lunch, since it's in SoFla. Cause i'm nice like that. lol.

Albert- Don't worry, approved your post. i remember this car from the old site. Good luck with the sale!

Would it be possible to share the name of the Jaguar repair shop in South Florida that specialized in DeLorean repair?

It was called The Jag Shop. They are no longer in business.

Me too! LOL! I really wanted to take him to court, but that sort of thing takes so much time and that was something I did not have. In the end, David got away with it and the car is what it is now. How in the world could someone related to Stephen be like that? What ever happened to him?

Geeze! Wish I were in Florida now! Too bad I'm so far away. Tokyo is a bit too much of a drive. LOL!

Thank you so much! Have a great day!

Please allow me to apologize for my slow replies at times. I live in Tokyo, so the timezone does make it difficult to reply quickly. Another issue is I can get quite busy with work.

To answer some questions: Yes, I do have the clean title for the car. I will need to phone home to get the VIN number. This may take a few days to have my father look it up. As I said at the top, I live in Tokyo, Japan.

A few notes... First, the car is titled as a 1981, so that was my mistake.

The VIN number is: SCEDT26T1BD06882

I have confirmed that this was one of the cars that was company issued to John DeLorean.
