Beware: this can be image heavy.

I was part of the fun little event earlier today at the DMCH along with at least a dozen others. Later during our meeting, the future came before our eyes: the electric DeLorean. I am pretty disappointed I did not bring up the courage to ride in it with Steve but I still got a chance to see it up close and such. I swear, the DeLorean was the quietest thing I've ever heard; it made the Jalopnik DeLorean sound like a real hotrider. No offense. :tongue:The only thing I heard from the electric car was the little computer underneath the hood.

Thought I'd bring up the photo of Jalopnik since I brought up the subject a bit as a bonus.

So what exactly are the billet knobs on the armrest? Looks like the smaller are affiliated with the doors. ???

I really like how they moved the air vents into the kneepads so as to allow for a more modern radio .

Yeah, these knobs automatically open the doors with the touch of a button. I was on the passenger side talking to Citizen when Steve opened the door there with no one on the passenger seat. You can bet I was curious as to how he did that, then I saw the buttons on the arm rest. I think the car also has an automatic transmission. The knob above the doors' buttons said only R, N, and D.

If I recall correctly, there is no transmission at all. The output of the electric motor is coupled directly to a differential. That's why there's no "P" to select.

So, it's one of those where you say "Engine start." and then it starts? :tongue2: Maybe eventually it will also be voice activated when you want it in reverse for example.
