Here's something:

List every vehicle (Year, Make, Model) that you've ever owned, or that you can remember.

Remember you can't go back and edit the posting after a few minutes so, try to get them all.
Don't list your parent's/family's car
List car either titled to you or that you made payments on.
No business vehicles, personal use cars only.

For extra credit, from your list, add a short note to each vehicle, for example:
<---Favorite
<---Worst
<---Fastest
<---Dream Car
<---Regret Selling
<---Lemon/avoid
<---Reliable
...etc.

Should be interesting to see similarities and not, amount (well, this may highlight the elder forum members), brand affinity, Domestic/Foreign preference/trends, as well as the variety and opinions.

I'll start:

1972, Dodge, Charger <--- Oh, the memories; bought summer before Sr. year of H.S.
1983, Ford, EXP <--- Meh.
1984, Mitsubishi, Colt <--- First stick car.
1985, Chevy, Z28 <--- Uncontrollable during Chicago winters.
1986, Ford, Bronco II <--- First SUV (mini) for us, all in all not bad.
1989, Pontiac, Grand AM SE <---Made to bust its timing chain at 60K. Thanks GM.
1993, Mazda, MX-6 <--- My first sports coupe. Reliable. Started my love of Mazdas.
1992, Dodge, Caravan SE <--- Of course, the minivan for the younger kids.
1999, Lexus, RX300 <--- Lemon. Engine would sludge.
2000, Ford, Expedition <--- <Sniff> I miss the big guy (but not the $100 fill ups)
2001, Volvo, S80 T6 <-- Fastest; twin turbos rocked.
2005, Honda, Element <--- Really the wife's car, Honda tough and reliable.
1981, DeLorean, DMC-12 <-- <sigh> Dream car, weekend car, fun car.
1985, Toyota, Celica Supra <--- Oh, ho, ho. Fun, fun, and with great lines.
2009, Mazda, 3S GT Hatch <--- Love my 3.

Looks like fun...do they have to drive? ;)

Here they are in the order I bought them.

1985 Cavalier 4 door <---My first car, sometimes I wish I still had her.
1999 Monte Carlo LS <---My first new car, love her even though she's a plain jane.
1966 Nova 4 door <---I want to drive this car again! It has been nearly 5 years in restoration hell.
1966 Mustang Coupe *Red <---Poor, poor parts car.
1966 Mustang Coupe *Blue <---I love the power this car has.
1989 GMC Safari <---I bought it for the engine. The brake lines exploded, northern vehicle.
1969 Ford F350 Flatbed <---This thing is a beast. Ugly as sin but very unique.
1989 Chevy Astro <---My parts hauler. Nice van, I may restore it one day.
1981 Delorean <---Dream car, money pit, and fun.

My count isn't really that high. I'm more the type to drive it until the wheels come off, fix it, then drive it some more.

1) 1988 Chevy Cavalier RS 4 door; (April 1997-November 1999) Former family car, handed down. Flipped at 380 000 kms with future wife at the wheel in horrible snowstorm. She walked away unhurt.

2) 1982 Toyota Supra; (November 1998-August 2001) Got for pennies (literally!) from co-worker at the time. First stick, very fun. Loved driving with windows down and moonroof open. In "Halo colour" Terra Cotta with black hatch. Gave it up due to rust compromising structural integrity beyond safe point. Parked Aug. 2001; stripped it down in 2002 to keep parts inventory for 1984 model.

3) 1991 Chevy Cavalier RS 2 door V6; (November 1999-June 2002) Cheap replacement for rolled 1988 Cavalier. Thought it very peppy compared to 4 cyl. Still a Cavalier (but at least not a 1995- model)

4) 1984 Toyota Supra; (March 2002-September 2005) Automatic, moonroof. Replacement for '82 Supra. Not as much fun, but still regret selling occasionally.

5) 1989 Chevy Cavalier RS 4 door; (September 2001-September 2003) Needed cheap winter car; had history with these vehicles. Walked away due to (wait for it....) structural rust.

6) 2002 Saturn SL1; (June 2002-present) Wife's primary vehicle. Traded '91 Cavalier in for it. Stick, first car bought new. Still own it today. Wife hit deer in 2006; drove it home from scene. Replaced driver door, LF fender, hood. Currently has aprox. 236 000 kms. Still on original clutch.

7) 1993 Dodge Colt 2 door; (September 2003-November 2004) Replaced 1989 Cavalier. Very basic. Stick. Bought (cheap!) from co-worker at the time. Later on admitted he thought it would leave me stranded the day after I got it. Pissed him off by driving it a year before trading in with minimal issues (clutch cable snapped once...just as I pulled in to work).

8 ) 2001 Ford Windstar; (November 2004-present) As described in the video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=k15XmFRMMGc) made with me last summer, the van I had to get instead of a D, with second child on the way. Wanted a wagon or hatch, and have never had to leave anything behind. Paradoxical "Sport" model. Still have it. Surprisingly, passed both rear axle and front subframe rust recalls! Aprox. 282 000 kms on it.

9) 1981 DeLorean (June 2008-present) Reason I'm here. Acquired differently than most; previously discussed on .com site. Quietly drive +/- 10 000 miles per year during driving season. Put experience working on it to work on other peoples vehicles up here. Currently in Winter Hibernation.

1982 BMW 320i: My 1st car that we bought for $1,500. Great car, but no AC and needed work towards the end. I couldn't afford the restoration so we sold it. Sometimes I miss it.

1996 Corolla: Owned from 2000 to 2004. Great car and very reliable. Great on gas (32mpg).

1988 Toyota Tacoma: Owned from 2004 to present: Great truck with 186k miles on it now. Will be needing a few age realted fixes and some new tires, but still alive and kicking!!

Hopefully a Delorean will be next on the list!!

Ooh - a memory test. This is in order of acquisition....

You'll probably pick up on some very wierd patterns, and what was new vs. used is pretty strange in retrospect. There are quite a few sub-$1000 cars in this list. There are overlaps in ownership, i.e. didn't necessarily trade up every time and there are cars that Julee and I traded off with each other. Unfortunately life's other important things got in the way of having too many "cool" cars.

1965 Mustang <==first college car, a $250 beater
1967 Nova 283 <==not bad but automatic
1970 Nova 350 <==4-spd - first "fast" car
1964 Chevy II - winter beater, about rusted in two
1972 Pinto Wagon <==actually a lot of fun for what it was
1975 Monza V8 <==easily the worst car ever owned. NOT one of JZD's better ideas
1972 Maverick Grabber <==Actually bought for Julee! Miraculously she stuck around anyway
1975 Pinto Wagon <==got in a bit of a rut here
1980 Plymouth Horizon <==first (new) car, gas crisis car. Ick. Where I learned how NOT to finance a car.
1980 Mazda RX7 <==trying to make up for the Horizon
1978 Fairmont Wagon <==this is where kids showed up in our life. Sold the RX7 for this.
1985 Mustang GT <==In spite of kids (new)
1989 Ford Aerostar <==more serious about the kids. (new)
1986 Pontiac 6000STE <==traded the Mustang, reverse midlife crisis here
1992 Pontiac Grand Prix <==company car but I bought it out
1994 Acura Integra GSR <==fun commuter car (new)
1996 Dodge Caravan <==kids still around, (new)
1981 DeLorean <==The one that got me started
1998 BMW 528i <==Wanted a larger car but with a manual trans
1998 BMW M3 <==Hooked on BMW at this point, kinda rough for a commuter car though.
2002 BMW 530i <== upgrade from 528i, lower miles, more options, a manual, best car I have ever owned, still have this one
1998 Chevy Suburban <==first shop truck, bought in a deal that included a DeLorean. This one is still in the family. First, last, and only real truck.
2010 Honda Odyssey <==No kids now, shop truck/Julee's current driver. (new)
A whole bunch of other DeLorean fix-ups, can't even count them any more.

Past Vehicles:

1992 Chevrolet S-10 - First vehicle, bought used, stripped down to nothing! For example, no interior dome light, no cigarette lighter plug, no radio, HVAC had 2 settings: Heat & Defroster! Not even a Vent! Manual transmission. Honestly, loved that truck! Have a picture of her on my desk at home!

1996 Chevrolet Corsica - College vehicle, nothing fancy but got me around and had AC and a tape deck!

1999 Pontiac Grand Am - Post-college vehicle, nice little peppy car, loved driving it.

2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer - Only reason I bought this vehicle was that I was finding myself and many others in the family moving around at the time and needed something to help transport stuff. Also doing some side work for people I knew, so needed to transport equipment.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Currently own:

2006 Saab 9-3 - Got tired of driving the Trailblazer, wanted to get back into a car. Absolutely love this car but getting ready to sell it due to a lack of room to store vehicles at my house!

2007 Chevrolet Silverado - Really my Wife's vehicle, she wanted a "big truck". It's in my name though, and I do drive it occasionally.

1981 DeLorean DMC-12 - My toy!

My wife also owns two Pontiac Firebird's - a 1988 and a 2002, but they are not in my name. The '88 is not operational, the '02 is operational but never gets driven except by me when feel sorry for it just sitting in the garage!

1979 AMC Concord Station Wagon: My "first" car, purchased for $75. I say "first" because I never got to use it, really. The furthest I'd ever gotten to drive it was once up and down the block. It broke down sitting in the driveway overnight.

1985 Audi 4000S: My ACTUAL first car. I loved it. If that Cadillac hadn't ran that red light that day, I'd probably still have it.

1992 Ford Tempo: What can I say? I needed a car. Ended up flipping this one.

1991 Nissan Stanza: The RadMobile. Also a great little car. Sold it to a buddy's girlfriend and she wrecked it.

1999 Volkswagen Jetta (Wolfsburg): Spent a shitload of money on repairs for a semi-minor accident that was my fault, only to have it totaled by someone else a few weeks later.

2002 Audi A4: Great car, but I have always loved Audi. So much so that I ended up eventually trading it in for...

2007 Audi A4: My current daily driver. I don't really see myself owning anything but Audis for my daily car anymore.

1981 DeLorean DMC-12: Duh.

Side note - can we please please please stop pluralizing with apostrophes? (vehicle's, parent's, Firebird's, etc.) It grates to read. Just sayin'.

- 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GT, black paint, black leather interior. 1st car I ever owned. Would love to own another car with a Heads Up Display.

- 2001 Mercedes Benz C240 Orion blue metallic, black leather interior. This was the 1st year of the redesigned "baby Benz" and by golly it had more electrical problems than my DeLorean has had! I loved it, but when you're young and dumb and have quite a bit of extra cash, this seemed like a good idea.

- 2001 BMW 330Ci, slate grey paint, light grey leather interior. Great car, but had a bad taste in my mouth after dealing with BMW Mississauga. When I sold it 3 years later, the Cadillac dealership informed me it had been in a $16k accident before I owned it. Huh, funny considering it was a Certified Series and that in itself guarantees it was not to have been in any accidents. I would later learn that their Used Car Manager was a crook and was frauding customers with a little side business he had going under the table with a body shop. Thanks a lot. BMW can lick my choda for every after. Nice car, bad experience.

- 2006 Cadillac CTS, blue metallic, black leather interior. Nice car, but very average/mediocre in many categories. The newer, redesigned ones on the other hand I hear pretty good things about.

- 1981 DeLorean DMC-12, automatic, black interior. My poor used car buying experiences continued after getting a car that was not as advertised by Transworld Auto in St Louis. First two+ years were painful and expensive fixing an endless list of issues on a car advertised as being "the cleanest example we've ever seen." It's all water under the bridge now, car runs like a champ and looks pretty good too.

- 2009 Pontiac G8, sport red metallic, black leather interior. Best car I have ever owned. Factor in price and performance and it is the clear winner.

my cars:

1986 Jaguar XJS V12: got it in 2001. 56k original miles, red, auto, leather, chrome wire wheels. awesome beast of a vehicle, Lucas electrical system. http://www.wranglerforum.com/images/smilies/speechless-smiley-039.gif it wasnt the most practical car for a poor college student.

2001 Hyundai Elantra: traded the Jag for this practical car in 2003. i did not like this vehicle. i made sure it was a manual so i could learn how to drive in anticipation of one day owning a manual DeLorean.

1952 Pontiac Chieftain Deluxe: my first project car, bought on ebay for $200 in 2004. i had a 'cool car' void after selling the Jag. :mecry: this vehicle was a rust pile and a half, but i learned alot of mechanical skills tinkering with it. it was too far gone to repair and sold it for scrap in 2010, but will always remember what i learned from it.

1958 Buick Special: purchased in 2006 because i wanted a running, driving project car. this is the vehicle in my avatar. i still own it, but will be selling it eventually to add to my "DeLorean Fund." (see my signature below)

2000 Jeep Wrangler: traded the Hyundai towards the Jeep in 2010. with winter weather in Omaha, i have no idea why this was my first 4wd... :dunno: i like my Jeep, but its not a vehicle for everyone.

1981 DeLorean DMC-12: stay tuned...

1.) 1978 Datsun 280Z- First car, learned a lot, loved working on it. Sold it for a pittance. I wish I would've kept it.

2.) 1992 Geo Metro- While the Datsun was laid up my father gave me the Metro. Beat the shit out of that car in frustration over not having my 280Z. It was a great car, I used and abused her and she still got great fuel economy and would not quit on me.

3.) 1998 GMC Sierra 1500- My current daily driver. A most reliable truck. It's nothing fancy, just the 4.3L Vortec 4x2. Bought with 70,000 miles in 2005 now running to 125,000 and she hasn't let me down yet.

4.) 1968 Fiat 500F- Purchased this when I was without a classic car to tinker with. Remarkably simple and fun to work on. Got her into better shape and sold her to help finance the "dream". I regret it as she was a great head turner, reliable, and paid for. But she maxed out at 55 on the freeway!

5.) 1981 DeLorean DMC-12- The problem with realizing ones dream car. Sometimes I hate it more than I love it. Stage II makes her a lot more peppy and fun, but its still a 30year old exotic with exotic problems, and occasionally just goes a little over this amateur mechanic's head. The only thing that keeps me hanging on to her is my devotion to my #1 dream car. I figure if I regret selling the Z and the Fiat, I'd never forgive myself for selling the DeLorean.

previously owned:

1992 Volkswagen Golf Mk2 1.6 Diesel --1st car. Already had ran 387.000 km's when i bought it. But it was a great car. :)

1998 Volkswagen Polo 1.6i --75hp lightweight go kart. Got this one when my mother bought a new car. It actually had an aircon but the transmission and clutch were completely worn.

2006 Hyundai Getz --1.4i 100hp --meh. The car was quite fast and reliable. But not really something you want to drive... Value for money.

2010 Volkswagen Polo 1.2 TDI Bluemotion. 3-cylinder turbodiesel Veery economical but sloooooow. Sold it when i moved closer to my job. -lemon

--

Currently own a 1985 Volkswagen Golf CL Diesel. It has a sunroof, optional 4+E Geabox and a analog clock where the rev counter should be. it's two years older than i am.

Here's my list, You'll notice a trend before long lol

1992 Ford Falcon GLi (EBII) 1st car, was fantastic, ran on LPG, cost less than $30 to fill it up for a week

1978 Ford Fairmont GXL 4 door, Was my first foray into muscle cars. was a factory 302 Cleveland, rebuilt the motor and stroked it 351 cubes... loved that car went like the clappers and looked grandpa-tastic

1976 Ford Fairmont GS Hardtop, My coupe... 351 V8, worked C4, 9 inch with tramp rods. still have it and love it dearly, has made me some great friends around Australia.

1992 Ford Falcon Wagon aka Little Red Wagon... bought it for $400 off the scrappers, drove it for 3 months until it blew a head gasket at which point I sold it back to the scrap yard I bought it from for $200...

1983 Ford Fairmont Ghia V8 - was going to build it into a replica of the Dick Johnson Greens Tuf racecar but lost my job and it had to go.

1975 Ford LTD. 351, FMX, 9 Inch. epically awesome car. could carry 6 people on a pub crawl with ease. could manage 100mph without issue. but was rusty and I sold it to help finance the DeLorean purchase... next owner dismantled it... Not happy about that one :(

1983 Ford Falcon aka the Beige Cardigan, runabout, rusty, beige... not much to talk about.

1981 DeLorean DMC 12 - 02065, one family car from Sacramento, has done 3,800 miles in 18 years. Living the Dream =D

Here's my list of the cars that honestly my dad owned, not me. They're just cars that have had an impact on my life.

1987 Cadillac DeVille: A brown, almost golden Cadillac coupe that used to be used as a family car for as long as I can remember more than our van before that. During that time, it traveled many far places several times without much of a problem aside from one time. It's gone to Colorado, New Mexico, and Florida at least once. For years though, it hasn't been used; just turned on every once in a while to keep the juices flowing. Now it spews blue smoke. As much as this one had a bigger impact on my life, it does deserve a better home now.

1993 Ford Taurus: It used to be my sister's car. Then it sat in our driveway for a while until Dad and I used it to help me practice driving while I was learning. It did have a bad transmission but it was able to behave during my short driving lessons. After he got a new transmission and more A/C fluid, I used it to go to University of Houston as soon as I got my under-age-21 license. The comfortable A/C didn't last long though. We finally sold it over three years ago.

1997 Ford Explorer: Again, another car that has put some impact in my life. Not as much as the Cadillac had but it is in second place. It ended up becoming a reliable ride for me after the Taurus' A/C went out while attending UH and bit into when I went to Houston Community College. It, too, has made quite some miles to faraway places like the Alamoso white sands. My dad did try to sell it nearly a year ago, which he actually did, but it was returned when the buyer needed that money for something more important. Now Dad has used it for some of his dirtier jobs so he doesn't have to use the other Explorer for that type of work.

2007 Ford Explorer: This one, never was exactly a big fan of. Why? Cuz its alarm goes ballistic sometimes. One time after class, I was contentedly enjoying a Reese's in the SUV before starting it up. Once I did start it up after finishing, it went nuts. I will never forget that evening. Oh, and this one is red just like the '97. Our neighbor thought he was seeing double when he noticed the two Fords in our driveway shortly after this one was bought. My dad decided to name it 007 after those movies for fun. It did take us on our vacation over a year and a half ago, from New Mexico to Arizona to Utah and reverse back to Texas.

2005 Chrysler Sebring: Yes, the trend of Fords has ended. Now I got this sedan as my daily driver. With an awesome sunroof and the ability to pick up speed quickly despite it being a 4 cylinder, I never thought I would take such a liking. Course it doesn't come anywhere near my thoughts for my dream car. It's been reliable for me since 2008 shortly after the Taurus was sold. It was somewhat a trade, you might say, but more like a way for Dad to get some money for selling the Taurus so he can buy another car I can use. I love its vicious shark face.

1993 Ford Taurus SHO 3.2
- Loved this car immensely. That aluminum Yamaha engine was a thing of beauty that was not only bulletproof, but fast as hell too. The car was the ultimate sleeper - looked almost exactly like any other Taurus at the time. It had a more agressive body kit, subtle SHO badging and those awesome Italian fan-blade wheels. And the best shade of red paint I've ever seen on a car. It could smoke anything I ran across at the time, but still had a comfortable leather interior with power everything (even a 10-way power driver's seat! In 1993!), a great stereo, automatic climate control and headlights, etc. Way ahead of it's time and I *VERY* grudgingly sold it in 2000 with almost 200k miles on it. Did I mention it also never had a single repair outside of scheduled maintenance, an insatiable lust for sticky high-performance rubber, and a broken power antenna? Damn I miss that car.

2000 Ford Escort ZX2
- Sigh. I traded the SHO in for this because I couldn't afford to keep up with the expensive tires and premium gas anymore. Plus having a new car with a warranty was appealing. The guy at the dealership who came out to switch my license plates over looked like he wanted to cry when he said "really? you're trading this... for THAT?"
This car was a COMPLETE lemon. I'd go into the details but it would take months to type it all. Suffice it to say that I traded this in in 2005 with 36,000 miles on the clock. I paid $16k for it new. Repair bills from 2003-2005 (after the warranty ran out) totaled almost 10k. It spent more time in the shop than on the road, even under warranty. My favorite stories were when I slammed on the brakes to avoid a semi that had just jacknifed and the head fuse blew. The car went completely dead and only the e-brake and about 18" came between me and certain death. Or the fact that 1st gear shredded itself (in an automatic) into a pound of steel filings and I couldn't afford to repair it. Or the time I propped the hood up and the shitty weak steel just gave out around the prop rod and the whole thing came down on me. I took 1500 bucks and was glad to see it go.

2003 Honda Civix EX (wife's current DD)
- Reliable, basic transportation. Got the one with all the options because honestly, why not at this price. 130,000 miles. I'm convinced it will run forever.

2006 Acura RSX
- This is another great car that hits all the right buttons and is my current DD. Bulletproof, virtually maintenance free, handles like nothing else I've ever driven. Comfortable, quiet, lots of gadgets. It's got 65,000 miles on it now and hasn't needed a single repair. It looks, feels, drives and smells like new. Not a rattle or squeak anywhere, even the chassis and interior. Honda knows how to build 'em. It isn't as fast as I'd like, but when I bought it I was living in downtown Boston and didn't think the 6-speed Type S was the right way to go for that kind of driving.

1981 DeLorean DMC-12 #2100
- What can I say? Living the dream.

Hey Jammer my first car I bought was a 1978 BMW 320i. Similar to yours except I believe my bumpers were more pronounced. I loved that car but it also became too expensive to maintain for that period in my life.

1984 Pontiac Trans Am - Overheated, burst into flames. Put out flames, still drove home. (traded for Ford ranger splash)
1985 Pontiac Trans Am - Stolen during restoration (barely knew her)
1996 Ford Ranger Splash - Too small, knees hit dash. Sold to brother in law. (horrible gas mileage)
1987 Pontiac Trans Am - Bent a push rod, removed push rod, sold car...lol (least favorite trans am)
1996 Pontiac WS6 Formula - Favorite car, nitrous fed daily driver (most memorable car)
2001 Ford Focus ZX3 - replaced blown tranny WS6 (EXCELLENT commuter)
2001 Ford Focus ZX3 #2 - Got from my dad when he passed away. Free car! (still have, only 55k miles on it, driving it til it's dead)
2000 Chrysler LHS - The yacht. Got when my uncle passed away. low cost family car! (sold because I had too many cars)
1983 DeLorean DMC-12 I hate waxing my cars, figured this was an acceptable alternative :)

->1985 Honda Civic Hatch: Learned to drive stick in this one along with an old Datsun pickup. Was given to me to trade-in for my first car I bought. Was wrecked, and had dodgy electrics as a result. I.e. you could either power the horn or the A/C, but not both at the same time.

->1997 Hyundai Accent: First car I owned, and really wished I had kept. Fun car even though I toasted the synchros. Hyundai though replaced the whole thing and even gave me a free set of workshop manuals to boot. Traded it in for:

->1996 Ford F-150 XLT: Gas guzzler that was uncomfortable as well as an apparent flood recovery. Typical hydrolock on the clutch. Got rid of it to help pay for:

->1981 DeLorean DMC-12: Still own it, and you pretty much know the deal. It's my dream car, and the one that I measure all others by. Once I got it though, I never again cared if I bought a new car. Once you start Living the Dream, there's nothing much else to dream about aspiring to own.

->1995 Dodge Dakota Sport: 2.5L OHC Chrysler shit engine. Thing would actually bog down in a severe enough headwind. Fuel pump locked up so I sold it.

->1996 Dodge Dakota Sport: 2.5L OHV Jeep engine. Awesome torque, rare model because of the production change that resulted in the new engine. Wished I would have kept it because I wanted to drop in a stroker I-6 with a 6-speed gearbox to create a nice sleeper. Sold to pay for the move to Texas where I met my wife, so while it would have been great to keep, I don't regret letting it go.

->1999 Ford Explorer Sport: A total shitbox. Aside from the hydrolock on the clutch, these 2-doors only come with single-leaf rear springs. Dangerous as hell, and would make a buckboard feel like a Cadillac. Traded in.

->1998 Jeep Wrangler: Gas guzzler with it's 3-speed trans. Blew out it's rear differential a few months after buying it. Turned out it was a theft recovery. Traded in.

->1977 Ford Thunderbird Town Landau: Killer 400ci engine, and comfortable as all hell. Another car I wished I could have kept. It was so damn comfortable. Sold it though and still regret it.

->2007 Jeep Liberty: If you ever get the chance to buy one of these, don't. Every single window regulator was replaced, it never had an alignment, and worst of all the Chrysler techs in two different states couldn't ever service the thing correctly. Got rid of it.

->1990 Jaguar XJ6 Sovereign: Had an AWESOME I6 engine with gobs of torque that just wouldn't quit. Sunroof, beautiful leather, posh interior, great car. Couldn't afford the restoration at the time, so we junked it. I honestly regret selling this car to this day, and outside of my first car the one I regret parting with the most. I fully plan on buying another because it was just that good.

->2004 Chevrolet Blazer: 2 door, impossible to get into the back seats if you weren't a dog or a child. But a fun little SUV. Ran great in the winter, but horrible in the summer with it's tiny 2-core radiator and clutch fan where it was always up in the 240 range. Still miss it though. Traded it in for:

->2007 Ford F-150 STX 4x4: This thing has been awesome! Gas mileage sucks since moving back to Houston, but it's the only car the rivals the DeLorean in terms of comfort. Was always fun taking it on trails through Nevada mountains. Need a new radio, skid plates, and lockers. After that it's going to be the family truck that we'll keep forever if we can help it.

1989 Ford Probe GL - 4cyl non-turbo with an Automatic, Red - 1999 - Was a good car for a teenager, until the Mazda autocraptic tranny needed a complete rebuild. Then it was totaled after being rear ended a few months later. :sad30:

1991 Eagle Talon - Non-turbo 2.0, 5-speed, Red - 1999-2005 - Learned manual transmissions on this car. Even though it was the non-turbo version, it was still very quick. It even reached 120mph loaded with 4 college students effortlessly with more engine power to go! I had this car for a long time as I acquired other vehicles and would occasionally go back to it when service on the other ones warranted. Eventually sold it to my dad who drove it for a year before junking it.

1981 DeLorean DMC-12 - Grey int, 5-Speed, VIN-6960, SS - 2000-Present - Best. Car. Ever.

1996 Subaru SVX - LSi Premimum model, 230hp and AWD - 2003-2005 - Was my first really powerful vehicle. Also designed by Giugaro and had mild toll booth windows. For some reason I dont think I ever took a picture of this and the DeLorean side-by-side. This was a really good car in general, and while I had some problems with it, none were known "problems" associated with the SVX. The seats though were HORRIBLE for a long drive, anything over 1 hour and my ass felt it was sitting on a concrete block. Didn't get good gas mileage unless it was all highway, in which case I couldn't enjoy it since my ass hurt too much. Eventually had to sell this to payback my checking account after purchasing the full size family sedan...

2002 Dodge Intrepid ES - 3.5L 234HP V6 - 2005-Present - Good value family sedan, bought this when I was expecting my first child. Since the HORRIBLE Chrysler 2.7L Sludge-Bucket was installed in most Intrepids, their overall price is pretty low for a full-size family sedan. Thus getting an ES with the better engine is generally a Very Good Deal. This car has been almost 100% problem free minus a few quirks and a transmission rebuild.

In order of purchase:

1992 GMC Sonoma - Hand me down truck received from my mother. First vehicle. Lasted surprisingly long for the piss-poor care I took of it. Automatic. No longer own.

1999 Saturn SL1 - First car I purchased myself. Still have to this day. Excellent, comfortable daily driver car with great gas mileage. Has been very reliable. Aside from basic maintenance, has only needed a radiator, and an AC condenser. Automatic. Still own.

1981 DeLorean - Purchased as a college graduation present to myself. I've sunk a whole lot of time and money into this car. I'd say has been necessary repairs and maintenance, and the other half were things that I just wanted to do. Despite the extensive arguing with me the car has done at times, I absolutely love it to this day. It has been EFI converted, and I am currently installed upgraded heads, cams, and exhaust. Manual. Still own.

1997 Corvette - Purchased because I wanted to add a fast car to my "stable". On top of really liking the styling and the driving feel, I find that Corvettes are one of the best money to power values out there, especially on the used market. 345 Horsepower insanity. Very fun car to drive, and aside from minor fit & finish issues, very reliable. Automatic. Still own.

This spring I will be selling the Corvette to partially fund the purchase of a Lotus Elise.

1996 Subaru SVX ... The seats though were HORRIBLE for a long drive, anything over 1 hour and my ass felt it was sitting on a concrete block.

man, it must be a Subaru thing. riding with my girlfriend on her 9-hour drive home in her 2001 Subaru Outback is terrible. my ass goes numb after the first hour. the girlfriend never seems to have the same problem though... she thinks my bony ass is to blame.

Interesting post _ maybe we will see some similarities. I thought there would be several D owner who previously owned mustang...

For me in order of ownership:

1984 Volks golf _ great drive, no power-steering. Exchange it for the next ride.
1992 Dodge stealth es_ very heavy in the front. Extremely good winter driver with the right tires. Absolutely loved the glass roof.
1997 2dr.Pontiac firefly _ don’t ask… sold it after one week!
1986 Saab 900s_ car that I loved and missed. Ultimate winter sleigh. But could become a money pit. Sold it to a teenager who wouldn’t even test-drive it.
1992 Toyota mr2, white_ interesting little thing. The interior is very bland. Sold it to Triumph fan who missed his TR4.
1981 Delorean DMC-12 auto_ Dream car. This one was a project car. I have learned a lot mechanically during the restoration. Sold it to a teenager who wouldn’t even test-drive it (again!). Missed it so much. Was in great shape and frame was immaculate.
2005 Cadillac CTS manual. Bought it solely because it was a manual_ but boring to drive. The only car I do not missed. Not a good engine. Sold it after one summer season.
1997 Bmw z3, 4 cyl._ nice, reliable and very fuel efficient. Want to sell it this Spring.
1992 Saab 900 conv. Missed my old Saab too much, so I bought this one. It is a keeper. Very enjoyable too. Daily driver.
1983 Delorean manual, Canadian edition. Dream car. Still a project car though. Hope to be able to owned it longer. Now that I owned one in the past and know what to look for and also know it could become a money pit quite quickly, I am (trying) to take my time to refurbish it. I am lucky, my girlfriend doesn’t want me to part with it. Still, I would probably consider selling it in the near future _ preferably to someone who live in Canada.

Great Thread! I'll do mine chronologically just so i don't forget anything but I'll point out my fans along the way:

1 1979 Trans AM: 301 W/ 4 speed manual. Learned how to drive stick on this car. Also learned how to install a clutch.

2 1969 Pontiac Firebird: was such a piece of junk it's barely worth mentioning.
3 1977 Firebird Formula: 403 olds, Auto. Lasted 4 mos and blew the motor
4 1980 Firebird Formula: 305 chevy, Auto. Parts car to fix the other one. Both cars eventually were junked.
5 1977 Firebird Trans AM: 400 Pontiac, Auto. Loved this car kept it for a few years and even drove it back and forth to florida Back in 1994 when I graduated high school. Nothing but fond memories of this car!
6 1988 Firebird Formula: 305, 5 spd. First fuel injected car. was an ok car not one of my favorites but fun for a little while.
7 1995 Z28 Camaro 350, 6spd. My first NEW car! Loved this car. Four of the most fun years of my life. Also the most expensive in tickets and Lawyers fees.
8 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Second new car Totally hated it. gave it to my grandfather after 6 months.
9 1981 Delorean (VIN...00774). Loved this car but it was a disaster right from the start. Rotted frame bad engine, kept it for 2 years but mostly in the garage. Only put maybe 5000 miles on this car. At this point it had nothing left to give.
10 1998 Chevy S-10 Fun little four cylinder but was 2 wheel drive and worse the the DeLo in the snow.
11 1981 Delorean (VIN..03165). This one's a long story so I'll just skip it. ABSOLUTE FAVORITE CAR EVER (and still is!)
12 1994 Mercedes 500SD I think? only had it 24 hours before I tried to get my D back.
13 2002 Toyota Celica ABSOLUTELY HATED this car! Can't stress that enough!
14 1996 Mustang Cobra 4.6 With a Five speed. This was another really great car! wish I could've kept it longer but sold it after 8 months when I went back into business for myself.
15 2003 Monte Carlo SS W/ Nascar package. This meant it had the spoilers and ground effects without the Driver's crap all over the car. Believe it or not this is my absolute second favorite car next to my D. It wasn't that fast but looked great and was incredibly comfortable and peppy to drive.

From this point on I was Married so wifey and I started buying cars together.

16 2004 GTO 5.7 Auto. This was hers But man what a cool car! Unfortunately went back on a lemon law.
17 2008 LR2 Land Rover. Not one of my Favs but she likes it so that's all i care about.
18 2005 Mini Cooper 5spd. I don't know what I was thinking when I bought this car. Definitely not one of my favorites.
19 2006 GMC 3500 pickup. Great truck. but after I sold my business there was no need for it anymore plus it was a major gas guzzler!
20 1981 Delorean (VIN..03165) What's old is new again! (Again Long Story)
21 2012 Nissan Altima, My current daily driver. Great car. I Like it a hell of a lot more then i thought I would. Comfy, good on gas and brainless to maintain.

That's it for now....
