Manual Transmission
Grey Interior
Flat Hood with "DeLorean" Badge
125,000 Miles
Located in Cincinnati, Ohio
Asking $22,500
Very nice, clean daily driver. Frame off restoration completed in January 2009.
Here's a list of the jobs completed to make the car work and look new so far:
- New no-worries three row brass radiator and Hervey low amp cooling fans
- New stainless braided clutch line, slave and master clutch cylinders
- New CV joint boots
- Freshly powdercoated wheels
- New tires
- LED bulbs on door lights & AC panel to prevent melting and battery discharge
- New headliners
- New or recovered dashboard, a-pillars, glovebox lid, glovebox, shifter boot, switches, turn signal and windshield wiper stalks, and countless other interior parts
- New trip odometer reset button
- New radio
Things the car still needs to be perfect:
- There is a dent on the left front fender and driver’s door from a grocery store parking lot collision that occurred before we bought the car.
- The engine runs beautifully and is one of the most powerful DeLorean engines I’ve ever driven. It is stock, but the previous owner may have put in new cams. It’s a LOT of fun to drive. When you first start the car after it has been sitting for awhile, the exhaust has blue smoke in it, indicating an oil leak. After you run it for about a minute, this goes away and will not return unless you let the car sit again. Indicative of a valve stem seal leak.
- New shocks & suspension bushings
- New AC seals and a recharge. The car has been converted to 134A.
That’s about it. There are a few other minor cosmetic things that need attention, which you’ll see in the pics, but overall it is a very solid 30 year old car, that has lived a very happy life.
