I don't know what kind of crack that guy was smoking.... 10 second quarter miles?!? :hysterical:

280 hp.... Keaton era batmobile better weigh 1200lbs
300 hp.... Adam West era batmobile running 9's?? If that were true, i'm fucking catwoman. If either car were near that fast, it would have to be caged. The only way those cars would hit those times if if those jet engines were REAL. Judging by the speeds shown in that driving segment, he may be slightly off his times...

as for the red head:

Yeah, and a 180mph top speed for the 1989 - my ass!

I must be a geek. All I could think "was how did Batman get Poison Ivy to wash the Batmobile?"

I think the top speeds were off. I could see the look on the builder's face when he realized he said 180mph. I bet he meant 108 which is much more reasonable. Not that I'd ever want to take that thing up to 108 or even 60 mph. It isn't as nice as some of the other replicas I have seen. That 1966 replica though, I'd drive that everywhere :D

Totally 80s

Horsepower stats without weight stats are meaningless. That 89 batmobile is 20+ feet long and has to weigh at least 4000 pounds not to mention the drag it has. That turbine nose it has up front is like a giant parachute at high speed.

I like the design of both cars, to be honest. They fit the series they were meant for. As for actual power and such, at what point does it matter? Is the 89 Batmobile even street legal?

+1 on the redhead. Love redheads.

I thought for a moment that when she said "lets meet the builder of these cars", that videobob was going to walk on! But instead it was D-Day from Animal House.

And clearly D-Day, driving the 89, let up just to get the result everyone wanted

not that there's anything wrong with that.

I wasted my time watching this. The 1/4 time estimates given the quote HP were rediculous.
