Obviously a basic operation, but a how-to guide can't hurt for anyone who's never done it before.

Its worth pointing out that you need to visually inspect your parking brake pads first to:
1. Make sure they are even there.
2. The wear is even.
3. they haven't been "over adjusted"

THANKS for this! My parking brake quit working a few months after I bought my car and I have been waiting for something like this to give me the confidence to try to adjust it back to working. :)

Keep in mind, on some cars, you may not need to adjust both screws. Do one at a time, and try to get them roughly close to each other in terms of when they start grabbing.
