And here is what a Delorean looks like with black carpet.

I like the color but the carpet looks to thick, if that makes sense.

Full disclosure: those are #5939's stock carpets dyed black.

Thats wild, it looks shaggier than stock carpet.

Yeah, it must have something to do with the dye, or maybe the way it photographed.

I think black carpets plus burgundy trim (http://www.deloreanmuseum.org/burgundy.html) would've been an awesome look. Might've been an option if the company had stuck around... but we'll never know!

i seem to recall bill mentioned he wanted a burgundy interior... or did i imagine that?

i would definitely like to see the result if he puts burgundy in 5939 along with those black carpets.

Yep, Bill has wanted to redo a trashed interior in that colour for a while now. He calls it "cranberry red" but I think "burgundy" is appropriate. (He also thinks that it would look best with a charcoal grey carpet as opposed to black.)

hm, i bet charcoal would look nice as well...

not that im planning on a colored interior DeLorean, but i like to see what people do with theirs.

It looks well done and that black is very deep. It is a little too much black in a grey interior for my taste thought.

Is it really a custom carpet if it is a stock carpet dyed another color? Not saying it was easy but in my opinion (which is just an opinion) custom means I took this pile of material and made a new part.

Well, "custom carpet" sounds better than "modified carpet." :P

Mica Fryman (central IL) did a Burgundy interior on one of his cars about 15 years ago. The Car has been to several DCS events over the years. The car is easily recognizable. It has a (Burgundy) Wide side strip that mimics the Black one and he made a custom SS grill cover for it. This car was brought back from the dead. It languished in the las vegas area for many years. The interior was scorched from the heat. Which is the reason why he opted to do the Burgundy look and try to create the Interior color option that was slated for 84 model year cars had the company survived.

You have a valid point. I will allow the custom carpet name to stand ;)

I do believe the term is "new build" carpet.

Nice! I hope I can see it in Orlando.

I love the black armrest. I think it would look better with black seat covers and no dash carpet.
