Yeah, I've met him twice at different DeLorean events. I was wondering why I hadn't seen him in a long time.

Just to be clear, the D only served to make identifing him easier, and helped confirm his address. It had nothing to do with anything else.

I removed the image completely. Since no one even knows if this was the person, it's not right to start any rumors, nor should the family be brought into this.

Fwiw, I posted the original thread, more to highlight that the authorities used a DeLorean website to catch a felon, than to identify a particular person.

A subsequent conspiracy theory is that it was the predecessor to this site that was used and the authorities confiscated the whole site as part of the prosecution. :p

This isn't the first "wacky" crap the D has been caught in. Remember the guy that said he killed Jon Benet...? Yep. He was a DeLorean owner too - and boy did I get to hear about it back in 2007 when I worked at a restaurant .... -____-

I've heard rumors about some dude committing suicide with shotgun in his delorean up here in the late 80s early 90s. Not sure if that's true or not. I've had several people ask if its my delorean that that happened in...

The only DeLorean-related suicide I know of was out in CA where a stockbroker drove his car off a cliff in the early '80s.
