Tech day?!

Hey guys its Brandon, just wanting to see if you guys wanted to start throwing dates around for a tech day, and who wants to host, since DCS is right around the cornor, for me personally Saturdays work best because I have school, if we could get one going before the end of this month that'd be awesome because I'm gonna be makin a few road trips in 5873, See you guys soon!

I'm taking off from work on the Friday on the DCS show, the 15th. Was thinking the DCF could meet up in the afternoon and do some last minute clean up and fixes before heading to the show.

I think most of us will be at the hotel already starting on Thursday. We may want to consider a tech day during the day on Thursday or the weekend before.

Me and Bill are planning to have a mini tech day at DCS instead of doing the mickey mouse stuff. Basically we are just going to install new bolts and washers on my LCA brackets.

I'm free this weekend. I could make myself free for Thursday, however I only have booked at the hotel for Fri and Sat. My plans were to register on Friday, bring the car inside and let it stay parked until Sunday. If I meet you guys on Thursday, I'd want to register then and leave my D at the hotel, which means I gotta find my way home. I'm just not interested in driving the D back and forth(Sanford to hotel, to Sanford, and then back to hotel again, and eventually back home). I hate to say I just don't trust my D that much to travel that much with it.

Ok, for those interested I have arranged to host a mini Tech/Detail session @ my mom's house on Thursday afternoon from 12-3ish.

Here is a kinda dumb question, but I'll ask anyway. Is this for Thursday (tomorrow) or Thursday next week. I'll probably be in town by then if it is next week and would like to join you guys if possible.

If you do the flush from the radiator, you need to get the nose up. If jacks or ramps are available, it's not suppose to be hard. There used to be a how-to somewhere.

Yea I found the write up on to how to do it, its quite a process if I can get some help ill buy lunch for everyone : ) also there's a small small small leak at the bottom of my radiator that I've been told that jb weld should hold it

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm not going to be able to host the tech day. If someone else wants to take this and run with it, please do.

We could do it at my place, if anyone wants. I can fit 4 D's in my driveway, and if we wanna do the coolant flush, we can move it into the garage, out of the sun. Otherwise my street is extremely quiet with virtually no traffic, so parking in front of my house isn't an issue either. I got jacks, car ramps, tools, and plenty of cleaning supplies.

We can still do it Thursday from noon, but I'll be home all day now, so if you guys wanna start sooner, say 10am, that's fine. It only gets hotter during the day. It might be asking a bit, but if Morph could come up with the torsion rig, that would be great. If we wanna do the coolant, I'm not sure I have a bucket, so u might wanna bring one, although Wal-mart and about 4 auto part stores are just up the street from my place. Same goes for the shocks. If you wanna adjust them, we can roll the D into the garage and lift her up. Not sure what tools you'll need past that, so bring what you need or we can make a group run to the store. Originally we were gonna do noon to 3, but I got nothing else to do, so if we wanna work past that, it's all good. And of course, the more the merrier.

Actually, I am going to take care of the shock adjustment tomorrow morning before I leave. I have a friend with a lift, so it should be no trouble. I still want to hang out with you guys though. Can you PM me an address for my GPS?

You will probably be better of getting the full strength stuff and a gallon of distilled water, it should be cheaper that way.

Cheaper still if you just use John's water hose. (Not recommended though, Florida water sucks)

Not sure when or if I'll make it to the tech day. I just busted out a little more than half of the broken tap that's preventing Christine from being driveable. If I can manage to get the rest out today I'll be bringing the car up.
