FYI: If you're going to be in the Los Angeles area, the Peterson Automotive Museum has included their gold Delorean in their "Sculpture in Motion: Masterpieces of Italian Design" exhibit. It got really great placement next to the Bertone Lancia Stratos concept car – the centerpiece of the exhibit. (Note: Both cars are on temporary display.)

Nice to see the D getting such prominent placement in this well curated exhibit.

Nice to see the car being recognized as a piece of unique automotive art.
The little feature-sheet they put with the car states it has a mid-mounted engine - incorrectamundo!

Here are a few more pix of the Bertone. I was amazed at how low it sits – the pictures don't really convey this well, but it the Delorean (which we know is a low car) is actually ONE FOOT TALLER.

You can see in the first picture that the tops of the cars are at the same elevation, just that the Bertone is on a platform :)

I think someone should put an Eibach suspension on the D. Wheel gaps especially in the front look terrible, even though it is original.

The back of that Bertone is insane! Check out the wheels/tires and the exhaust pipes/

Did you notice the oil spots and drain pan underneath the Stratos Zero?

A few more pix of the exhibit. (There were more cars, but the other pix didn't turn out very nicely.)

I think the D was the only Giugiario designed car there. I would have included the Gallardo, Esprit, or even the Mk 1 Scirocco/golf.

And it's got the running gear from a Lancia Fulvia. I think it was the 4V 1.6litre engine

Thanks for the extra pics! :) I love the production Stratos, but this concept looks unreal, especially the rear end.

No problem... glad they're enjoyed.

Yeah, the concept car is amazing. I previously only saw it in magazines/books. In real life it looks so much smaller, and more dramatic (especially the rear end).
