Diet Cheerwine vs Diet Dr Pepper Cherry

So I brought a bottle of Diet Cheerwine to work and decided to share it with my peers. One of them tasted it and said it tastes just like Diet Dr Pepper Cherry. Has anyone else noticed this before?

We only have regular Cheerwine here; not the diet variety.

Weird...I've never heard of cheerwine till now and I live in VA.

I think I just diet and went to heaven. I just did a search and it looks like there is Cheerwine just a few miles from where I work! Last time I checked was a year ago and it wasn't available back then.
