Last year I installed the Audiovox cruise control setup on 16655 (the vacuum-operated model). It worked for a grand total of one half of one trip, and I've not been able to get it working since, and have eliminated all but two possible sources of it not working: the magnet speed sensor is not working anymore, or the vacuum unit itself has bit the dust.
Though I am planning on getting one of the non-vacuum cruise units, I'm also interested in getting rid of the magnet setup if I can- so I'm wondering if anyone has ever tried using one of the pulse generators that hook up to the speedometer cables (like this one: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/DAK-SEN-01-4160/ ), and if so which model fits our speedo cables and how well it worked.
