And this part looks WAY better on the car in person than it does in the pictures. I was impressed in 2010 and again last weekend. I would certainly buy one once my descetionary funds are replenished.

The cones just hide the extra thread needed to make the height adjustable. The bottom of the cone is threaded for making the adjustment. So the top of the cone hole is drilled to just clear the dia of the rod. You may want to machine a hex on the cone for adjustment but I found it was no problem using my fingers to adjust the height.
