While in Orlando for the show, I saw a Delorean with a really nice lighted bar going across the door area to prevent spectators from trying to sit in the car when the door was open. Anyone know where to get something like that?

Mine aren't lighted, but I made some myself for under $10 using 4 lengths of 1/2" PVC and 2 of these (http://www.lowes.com/pd_23941-34146-P600U+1/2_0__?productId=3354006&Ntt=pvc+compression&pl=1&currentURL=&facetInfo=) that I slipped inside of a black cloth sheath. Slip the ends of the pipe over the striker pins, tighten up the fitting, hang some "please look but do not touch" signs on them and away you go!

Looks so "right" that people were asking me if it was hard to get in and out of the car over them. They thought it was structural and part of the car.

Sorry the pic doesn't show them really well but it's the best I have handy. Someone knocked the sign crooked too.

I just shut/lock the doors and walk away. So far this approach has always kept people out of my car.

Same here. If I'm going to sit in a folding chair behind the car then I'll open the doors.
