Need a New Tach Signal Wire

my ignition has had this horrible electrical interference problem for years, i believe it can all be traced to this wire. the black shielded tach wire that connects the distributor and the ign ECU. What a pain to remove


This wire is NLA any ideas on where to get a new or good used one?

the rubber cover has worn though near my middle finger, and the rest of it is visually ok but i dont trust it

Can you not splice in a new wire to the plug?

maybe if i wasnt the worlds worst solderer. I went to the sacramento volvo dismantlers today and had a look in there enormous pile of parts, all wire were in worse shape than mine.
