The "cap" is on the driver's side. It's cylindrical with a couple hoses going into it. It's held in with it's O ring and just pops in and out. The plug is a special Snap-on tool. Or you can modify a socket wrench to fit, but I'd just by the attachment form a vendor. It's a bitch to get to and butts up against the frame pointing fwd.

And immediately buy a more conventional drain plug from one of the vendors. It will make your life easier and with all the little things that keep needing to get fixed on a DeLorean, the last thing you want to have a hard time with is oil changes.

Cheers.

Maybe you shouldn't be changing your own oil

Nah, I can basically figure anything out. I just rebuilt my distributor because it needed a new coil inside it, that was a fun project for someone with no car experience. BUt it fired right up when I got everything back in.

Oil change will be no problem after this... I just don't want to waste my time guessing where the input and output of oil are.
