I'm selling my car because I'm sick of Back to the Future ruining my love for the car.

Here's a list of some of the upgrades that have been made:

Stage II (Exhaust and Cams)
LCA reinforcements
Headlight Upgrades
Machine-Finished Wheels
Gray interior with new dash and flawless binnacle
Rear Louvre Support
Front Sway Bar
Upgraded Window Switches
Illuminated Door Sills
Eibach Springs & Suspension
Heavy-Duty Angle Drive

Plus over 4 years of extensive work performed by DMCMW.

I want to get $40,000.00 out of my car to reflect its condition and the amount of work that's been performed; those who are seriously interested can receive copies of the extensive service history.

For those interested, my car is still, after the eBay listing resulted in zero bids, up for sale.

Though, mileage is now at 30,300

The price is $30,000 FIRM.

It's the best bargain on a car in its condition, has an unrivaled service history, nearly every desirable upgrade imaginable, Stage II, and is ready to pick you up at the airport; drop me off at home and drive to your garage from there.

Price also includes a spare gas flap hood that has been redone by Chris Nicholson.

I got better sales results for parts on DMCToday than on DMCTalk.

Though, overall, I want to get out of the DeLorean community and, as to how I feel about the process of selling my car, it's simple:

I was hoping that one of these people who are always appearing and saying that they're doing their research and waiting for the "right" car to show up would have seen what a screaming deal mine was and buy it. I don't have the time or spare resources to dedicate to selling the car at an auction and I'm not losing any more money on it.

Case in point, there's this car that sold through DMC Midwest $45,000.

http://dmcmidwest.com/delorean/6797/

What did it have over mine? Mine has 20,000 more miles and a Stage II upgrade as well as all the suspension and handling upgrades for $15,000 LESS!

I don't think that there was anything wrong with my eBay ad and that I have already severely undercut the value of my car as it is.

How about this one?

http://delorean.com/delorean/10682/

They sold it, per their website, for $35,000. It has under 500 miles difference and next to NOTHING done to it.

If they sell this one at $32,500, the buyer is an idiot.

http://delorean.com/delorean/1441/#!prettyPhoto

My car, for $2,500 less, has 11,000 fewer miles and a complete service history that exceeds my asking price.

The same goes for this car, though, they only have 3,000 more miles than I do.

http://delorean.com/delorean/5568/#!prettyPhoto

The point I'm trying to make with all of these links is that there is next to no research being done by the general DeLorean-buying public and either there are a number of saps over-paying for these cars or DMCH lies through their website about what they sell them for.

It sounds like you've had a tough time convincing people of the imporvments and work done on this car. I'm much more open minded. I live in Greenfield, so I'm not far a way. If we could setup a time, I'd like to see it, look over all of the documentation and do quick test drive. I have a mechanic that I could probably get a look over from (of course at my expense). He's in Oak Creek. I'd like to have hin do some quick compression tests and look over the general condition. If it's as good as it sounds, we might make this a quick deal without having to haggle.
If you're interested in talking, let me know the best way to contact you directly and we can plan something.

A reminder that my car is still for sale and that I'm willing to negotiate on the price, within reason.

Since the car is sold, the thread is kind of irrelevant at this point. Plus, we all have DeLoreans, if we get banned, we just go back in time and stop ourselves from posting.
