I may bring my car to this. If I can make it, sounds fun.

It's my favorite show of the year. Awesome cars, if you are into old British stuff, and great location in downtown Norcross, as close to a British street around here.

Been looking forward to this for a while. I'm planning on going with my car. Was hoping there'd be some DMC friends there.

I will try to make it out to hang with you. Leaving car at home until leak is fixed.

Can we just show up and enter there? How much is it? What time does it start/end. If I can make it, weather permitting anyone up for a convoy? Im in braselton area....

Looks like it's 10am-3pm. I'm planning on being there at the beginning to get a good parking space (it's much better on the main strip). If the time works for you I'd be happy to caravan. Is anyone else bringing their car? Do we need to save spaces?

Again, if the weather holds out I'm good leaving early. I'll call you Friday or call me, maybe we can meet near 985?
What time do you want to get there, to get good spots?

You are right about the weather. In good ol' "when you have something planned for outdoors" fashion, Saturday has the worst forecast right now of the next few upcoming days. Hopefully it will stay dry, as it's a really nice show. I've never been there at the beginning before (just stopped by in the afternoon last year), but I'm guessing arriving at 10 would get us a good choice of spaces.

Why car shows are always scheduled for hurricane season is boyond me. Rains every show I wanna go to. As I said, if forecasting rain, I'm out.....

Well, it is a British car show, so rain and drizzle is necessary to complete the atmosphere :approve:

Ben told me he's out tomorrow. Is anyone else planning on bringing their car? I only ask so that if I get there first, I can tell them to expect x-number more DeLoreans and hopefully they'll keep the spaces open next to me.

Interesting weather this morning. Not exactly what I was expecting..... wet but drying up ground, and totally clear sky.
Well, packing up my stuff and getting ready to leave for the show. Still bringing an umbrella, rag and SS polish just in case.

Really nice show, had a great time. Would have been perfect if it wasn't for that stinking rain. My wife said it didn't rain at all in Buford, and I laughed and told her that it sure %&$@*ing rained in Norcross. (Ben, you would have been very unhappy). The first heavy rain was just a temporary setback, because everything resumed after that. But after I was alone it started raining again at 2:15 and then just would *not* stop. After waiting for 30-40+ minutes under an awning and then inside a coffee shop, I finally gave up and had to go out there, still in medium-light rain and open the door and trunk, toss in the wet umbrella and the 2 sopping wet folding chairs, and get in and try to dry everything off. Miserable. So getting out of there was kind of frustrating, but I still thoroughly enjoyed everything before that. Oh BTW, holy crap my car leaks water like there's no tomorrow. I swear it didn't used to be this bad, but it was dripping in, in 3 different places, just from sitting still. Not even driving down the road.

Got to talk to a great variety of a lot of friendly people, and the attention on the car was strong and constant. Felt like it was hard to talk to everyone, because there were so many comments and questions. #1 question of the day, "what was the deal with that guy and the cocaine?"

Thanks to all you guys who came out to visit. I sure appreciated the company! :)

A couple of pics:

The scene when I arrived, just after the first downpour

Derek & Doug seeking shelter from the rain on some guys porch

This guy came prepared

The first storm cleared out about half the cars unfortunately. This beautiful Esprit stayed:

And even towards the end of the show Derek was still busy

After walking through all the great British cars and bikes, my son decided that he wanted this one, parked in a side street (never seen one here before) :banghead:

Also a first time on this side of the pond (and why someone would import one is beyond me)

1000 internet points if you can ID it

Nice pics Dermot! That tells the story right there. Funny when you took that picture of the porch house that you didn't yet know Doug and I were under there.

It sure was interesting watching people with those old convertible cars scramble to assemble complicated looking framework before even beginning to get the canvas over it.

Also, because I just can't help but further complain about the weather......

"Sure is NICE outside today and the rest of these weekdays. But of course it is. No one is planning an enjoyable car show."

Looks like a mid eighties reliant scimitar ss1 but with Opel wheels for some reason!

John! You're not eligible for this contest!

Yes, on the nail. A small volume Fiberglas conv from the people who brought you the Robin 3 wheeler.

Oops, sorry!

Why anyone would buy that car in the USA is beyond me though! Any idea why he went with Opel wheels, just to confuse people?!

J/k John

No, didn't see anyone around to ask. Maybe if he is there next year, I'll find out

Maybe had some sentimental value.
