I love, love, love '70s & '80s Citroens! I don't think I've ever seen one so well preserved, too! Your car has the same shift lever as the early auto DeLoreans, doesn't it? Or do they just look alike?

I read an article about those Prestige Citroens in Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car a month or two ago. They're very very neat cars and I've always liked Citroens. Right now my other car is a really junky AMC Pacer.

I've added some goodies since I bought it, these pictures were taken a couple hours after I got it. It's a '76 with 232 and 4-speed with posi rear end, power disc brakes and steering, air conditioning and center console from the factory. Things I've added since are a set of rally wheels, side vent windows, a factory clock, back panel overlay. I may be selling it soon though.

Oh yes, and I'm usually much better with a camera than this. It was an off day. Maybe that's why I bought a Pacer!:eek7:

Less than mine I'm affraid.

I've seen dozens of mustangs around here and my Firebird is 1 of only 2 in the city.
I know a 3rd gen Firebird is looked down upon in the States, but people here still go nuts for one.

My previous cars were:

1997-2000: 82' Datsun Maxima (my first car, *sniff!*) :sad30: Had to give it away

2001-2005: '90 Dodge Spirit, drove it to death, blew a head gasket, killed the trans

2004-2005: '93 Plymouth Duster, same engine as above only in a smaller, sporty 2-seater chassis

Then there's my '82 DeLorean 2004-present :) Not losing that one! I really need to buy a newer car one of these days for regular use.

I'll post some photos when I can of my daily driver and maybe our other cars. In the meantime, I drive a 2005 Sebring with a sunroof.

We do have four cars sitting in our driveway, and there's just me and my dad. During our last neighborhood garage sale, Dad has been trying to sell two of them: our '97 Explorer and our '87 Cadillac. At first, the Explorer was sold for a few days, then the buyer had to give it back for the money he spent for it (Dad only sold it for 1.9K$), so he can use that money to support his mom on the other side of the world. Since then, the '97 has ended up being Dad's daily driver. That over his 2007.

EDIT: Okay, I got some pics of my Sebring, my only daily driver. It is a pretty sexy car that looks like a shark with a sunroof.

I also still own the same car I drove in high school (1981 AMC Spirit). There used to be a picture of it on the old DMCTalk site, but we all know what happened to those archives.... I'll snap a new pic tomorrow.

My first car:
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk179/92conv/brownTA.jpg

Oddly enough, even though it is piss slow, if I can find another brown 1984 Trans Am, I would actually buy it. My first car was such a POS, i could never drive it. Raced my friend through downtown fort lauderdale one morning and had an engine fire. Blew it out, kept driving. My dad tried to get it to run right with the help of his "mechanic" friends, but I ended up trading it in for

http://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gallery/tmp/88/88.520.390

1994 Ford Ranger Splash. LOVED this truck. This was my first stick shift vehicle. I actually bought it, had a friend test drive it, had another friend drive it home. Took the truck out at 2am and taught myself how to drive it. By 6am, I was shifting like a boss.

While I had that, i bought:
http://www.pugetsoundpoci.com/photos/Puyallup05/85TA.jpg

1985 Trans Am... missed my 84 something fierce. Bought this one from a junk yard and started restoring it on my own. Ended up getting stolen and dumped into a canal.

After that, I had a problem with the 94 splash... had a late growth spurt and my knees were hitting the dash. Had to sell it and bought:

http://www.dragtimes.com/images/6935-1987-Pontiac-Trans%20Am.jpg

Car was a money pit, found out the T-top rail was rotted through, ended up killing the oil pump and bending a pushrod. Sold it during a local friday night car show, and bought my favorite car:

http://home.sbu.edu/reddish/garage/cars/ronbryant.jpg

1996 WS6 Firebird Formula similar to the pic, but all white, hard top, with cloth interior. One of 524 made, but RARE hard top 6 speed cloth option. Nitrous fed. Yum. Ran this car from major turnpike plaza in fort lauderdale to major turnpike plaza in orlando in 1 hour 45 minutes :) Car was sick.

But, living in Orlando, had to drive 40 miles each way to work. Blew out transmission, had to trade it in on...

http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/vehicle-pictures/2001/ford/focus/01113311990001-480.jpg

2001 Ford Focus ZX3... dark red. Drove this car to 175k miles and sold it to Carmax. My uncle passed away in TN and I inherited:

http://atozautolights.com/images/autophotos/CHLH9901.jpg

2000 Chrysler LHS. "The Land Yacht". GREAT road trip car... but, sold it last month since im moving to NC.

Dad passed away back in 2009, this = another inherited car.
http://www.kosmix.com/files-autos/chr/imgs/731.jpg

Yep... ANOTHER Ford Focus. My dad liked mine so much, my mom and I traded in his rotted F150 for one. If I would have known I was going to get it, I would have bought him a Porsche :bang: Oh well... free car = no more payments.

Lack of car payments = money to burn monthly = my delorean

These were my drivers. Now, the PROJECT cars... tired of posting pics, so i'll just list them...

1968 charger: belonged to a friend, spent all it's life in my back yard because he didnt work on cars. fixed up slightly and sold

1970 Olds cutlass. 350 rocket, bought for 200 bucks, sold in Auto Trader for 1k.

1984 Buick Regal. Cyclone class race car. Slowest race car I have ever been in. Still hate that car.

I think that's it.... Im pretty sure.

Well as the picture shows, my daily driver is this 1994 Ford Crown Victoria... Now she's packing 155,000 miles and is still going strong. She burns a little oil and other than replacing gear sets in my window motors, she just keeps hauling down the road.
Also, obviously NOT pictured here is the 2012 5.0 Mustang GT Premium that my wife and I ordered last Monday. Kona Blue with an optional automatic transmission and the standard 18 inch alloys and the Comfort Package for heated front seats and a 6-way power passenger seat.

Very Nice! Just a heads up from a fellow Automatic Mustang GT owner.. Expect people to constantly question why you would buy a Mustang with an Automatic tranny.. Yeah, I get that a lot and with your 5.0 I bet you will get it too if not more than my 4.6.. But F**K them, good purchase!

Some nice looking cars in this thread. Aside from the DD Infiniti G35S, the wife's Honda Odyssey and the daughter's Nissan Versa (no pics needed for these), the stable only houses the Delorean right now.

Previously, I had these guys: '79 SuperBeetle convertible (full frame off restoration), '79 (blue) Triumph Spitfire and a '77 Triumph Spitfire (full frame off restoration). I'm getting the itch again, but If I jump, it may just be for one of the Ferrari's pictured....Love the Dino, but pushing a quarter million$. :eek5: The 308 comes in K-Jet versions and carb versions depending on the year. Much more reasonable as they can be had in the low $30's. EFI Ferrari anyone?

Indeed it does get old.. For those here that do not get this and are a D owner.. Imagine someone hitting one thing about your car, the same exact bad joke each time with zero variation.. I told the last guy to f**k off and I would not envy the next guy as each time I get more weary and care less about the boorishness of my rebuttal. I used to actually take the time to explain that when I bought it I did not know how to drive a stick.. But they are morons, why give them anything besides "F**k off..", eh?

Hahahaha! Yeah, I've already been getting it... and I am sure it will only increase once we get the car. My cousin works for Ford as an engineer and he allowed me to use the X-Plan and he is a die-hard 6-speed fan and 'threatened' not to all me to use it if I got the auto... but we ordered it anyway.
Well thanks for the heads up and I know we'll enjoy it with the auto... I enjoy autos so much that I actually want to get another DeLorean but this time with an auto... I can't help it, I just like driving and not thinking about shifting... A/C on cruising down the road and then Bam! down to the floor it goes if I want to get on it a bit...
We're really exctied for it to come, maybe if this thread is still active I'll post a pic or two of it when it arrives.

Thanks again and take care,

Mark

Here are my daily drivers and one of my weekend toys. The weekend/beach car is a 1973 VW Thing. I have had the Transmission, Engine and front suspension completely rebuilt. It's a blast to drive and I get as many stares in this car as I do the DeLorean. My daily driver a 2002 Toyota MR2 and my wife's daily driver is a 2007 Cadillac CTS.

Had an Orange '74 Thing in the late 80s. We made it nice and pretty, but it did have a ton of bondo in it. They have REALLY gone up in value! The last one at BJ went in the 30's I think.

This'll be a long list...I'm kinda addicted to cars...

My daily driver: 99 Monte Carlo
http://uploads.m-cgi.com/kennyz/P6100010.jpg
I bought this car new, she's my baby.

My first love: 66 Chevy 2 400 series Nova 4 Door (in restoration)
http://uploads.m-cgi.com/kennyz/nova/rnova01.jpg
http://uploads.m-cgi.com/kennyz/nova/020908/P2090002.jpg
I've been restoring this one for a few years. I can't wait to be able to drive her again.

My girlfriend: 66 Mustang Coupe
http://uploads.m-cgi.com/kennyz/temp/mustang/101008/P6130026.jpg
A coworker's son wrecked her and he was forced to sell her for cheap. I picked her up for 2500 and put another 2500 into getting her fixed back up. She needs some more rust repair but for now she's got a great attitude.

I don't know what I was thinking: 69 Ford...flatbed?
http://uploads.m-cgi.com/kennyz/temp/P1010011.jpg
I call it my zombie killer truck, others call it Optimus Grime. What sold me was the freshly rebuilt Ford 390 and 4-speed for less than 1200 dollars.

There's also an 89 Astro for small hauling jobs (remodeling my house) and another 66 Mustang I call the Rustang that may or may not become a project in the future.

This was always how I envisioned my '82 Datsun Maxima wagon back when I was 19. Shopped by a guy named Andy Maugh, but this is awesome!

If Rich W. or someone made a custom one of these, I'd buy it lol

Here's a shot of my '77 Chrysler parts (https://www.partstrain.com/ShopByVehicle/CHRYSLER). The 440 is all I needed from this car and it's a shame that the body on it is so sound.

I remember this, this used to be my dad's car. I haven't seen any model since the day it was sold... :disapprove:

I can't seem to find pictures at the moment, but my daily driver's an '01 Honda Civic EX Coupe. I hate to call it this, but it's a wee bit white trash. I've got an amp in the trunk, mounted to 1/4"-1/2" plywood, itself affixed at a 45* angle to the right side of the trunk with wire. Looks like ass, and the wires going haphazardly from there to the rest of the car don't look much better (and it's still not done yet, but it's close). Plus it has a 2" dent, rusting metal where paint chipped off, and was keyed down the side. But hey, I'm driving this one into the ground, so I could care less how it looks right now. Saves on bodywork costs to boot.

Our current "classic" car is a '93 Jaguar XJ6. Bluebooks at around $5K, but we still get comments about it when we take it out and people see it. Very nice maroon color, tan leather interior, Hidden Polk Audio 2-way mids (I may have busted the OEM mids while driving it one day. Oops). Multiple shops have told us it's by far the best condition of any Jag from that era (parts are grossly expensive, so most guys have parted theirs out by now). I'll dig out pictures of these two as soon as I find them.

308 all the way!

This car no longer exists. The motor and trans are about to go into a '74 Monaco and several other parts were saved for hot-rod projects.

Lately, this has been my new toy:

It's delightfully Redneck, as opposed to some of my other projects, and is used as a parts hauler/grunt.

My 1982 Delorean along with my 2005 Mustang GT. Although, in a few days I may just have the Mustang.

I don't have either of the cars above anymore, I've had my '68 Mustang for 2.5 years now. Would like to get back into a Delorean in the not too distant future.

2001 Infiniti Q45
1996 BMW Z3
1998 Honda VTR 1000

Notice a pattern? You don't have to have a car payment to have a nice vehicle. Keep them maintained and clean and you just don't need to buy cars every 3 years. The Infiniti has 140k on her, the BMW has 95k and the motorcycle is around 23k

Those first gen Z3's are great cars, and fairly affordable too.

My wife bought that car back in 1999 or 2000 with 30k miles on it. I did have to replace the gearbox because of a incorrectly machined part (first year of the z3) but other than that we haven't had any issues with it.
