I found it on another page, but I couldn't share it on my phone. Was from Mac Trybul's post onto the DMC page.

Excellent shot of Patrick! :)

Any idea when it was taken?

Broken side bolster already...tsk tsk, Patrick :)

His wife still owns the Delorean. It pops up every now and then at DMC CA. His brother in law has a Delorean as well!8)

Here's another pic:

I remember seeing a quote somewhere along the lines of how when Swayze finally made it, he celebrated with buying himself a DeLorean. Too lazy to look it up right now.

Yeah, but it's only part of it. He spoke very highly of the car, and it was his trophy of finally making it.

He really liked his car, was even driving it to film sets in the early 2000's, as I spoke to a director who worked on a film with him and he told me stories about how Patrick drove it to set everyday. And yes, his brother-in-law owns one and is active on this forum.

Just picked up a copy of "the time of my life" and am tearing through it. The D does figure into a very important moment in his life

I like that he has the "vacuum cap fix" on the door plungers. :)

I always liked Patrick Swayze. He wasn't regarded as the greatest actor, but he still had quite a few very good roles which he played well. Ghost of course being one of them, and dirty dancing being a big hit. I personally liked the way he was able to make fun of himself. For those who have not seen it, many years ago he was on Saturday night live, and did a skit with Chris Farley. They were both trying out for chip and dales, It's on youtube but you need a regular computer, I cannot uploaded it with my iPad. Worth a watch.

Donnie Darko - great flick AND actually has a reference to DeLorean.

My favorite Swayze film is Black Dog [1998], where he battled along side Randy Travis against a fanatical Meat Loaf Aday!

Nice Metro map, looks like Huntington station is on the part I can somewhat see (The yellow line). I still have a metro pass with a good $0.30 on it if you want it. :approve:

That is something. The book was a quick read and very interesting, it made me want to backtrack to some of the films I overlooked through the years. Was the restoration a catharsis to work through the grief? Thats a very Southern approach to things. Any other Swayze Delorean memories to share?

I always liked him as an actor and when he was doing interviews - seemed like a pretty down to earth kinda guy who knew he was there working to entertain us and not all about himself being a celebrity.
