You guys think that windscreen is opaque or what? Was the full size car just for shots of did it really drive?

Is it next to the Coyote from Hardcastle and McKormick?

Wow! That is pretty cool. "make offer," hahahaha

I would totally go check it out if I lived in LA. Of course, I would do a lot of things if I lived in LA...

Wow... I wonder what kind of car is underneath all that. I remember Bob Gale saying they used a lot of Ford Probes, lol.

Yeaaaah, I could maybe see a Ford Probe under that. But is the windscreen really see through?

That DEFINITELY looks like an older Manta Montage kit car.

Judging by the shadows I don't think it is see through. However, with today's tech I bet one could be made for it.

There are also a TON of pictures of the making of the police car on the Part 2 Blu-ray image galleries.
Lots more like this: http://www.bttf.com/tyfoon/site/fckeditor/image/winfield3.jpg

They may be on the DVD as well, not sure....

I think it's pretty neat, but why couldn't the guy add more details. what am I making an offer on? does it run, does it drive, is t here even a drivetrain in it anymore? I would only want it if it could be drivable. Imagine if that windshield is actually fake. making one that size that you can actually see out of it would be expensive.

I'm gonna go with $15K and then re-listed because the top bidder didn't pay for it. Then sell for less.

I dunno, unless a museum buys it, I'd have a hard time believing this would sell for much. At the most I'd think it would keep getting resold considering its just a frame with fiberglass. I can't imagine many average joe's, even BTTF fan boys with money to spare, would have the space to display it where they felt it was worthwhile. If it had a title and drivetrain on the other hand we'd be seeing youtube videos of high speed chases with the car and a D. Then in about a year, some show on cable would have a contest between the Duke's of Hazzard's General Lee getting chased by a cop car and the D and the Hill Valley police car. In 2015 it would appear on Good Morning America and the like and then its fame would fade. In 2019 it would reappear in the headlines as "Future Police Car is Now History" when a photo shows the car crashed after being chased by cops.

Actually found it interesting to see the inside.

Yeah, that was neat to see the interior would be a fun project to restore, literally one-of-a-kind.

BTW, I hope my previous post didn't come across as snarky. I do think its a neat car for someone, just having a hard time imagining who would have the funds to pay a premium for prop that takes up a lot of space and can't move on its own power. That being said, if someone here purchases it, let us know!

Is it just me, or does the general design on those seats look like a DeLorean seat? Seems like they may have made a mold of the DeLorean seats to use as a base for these.

I would wager that the seats and steering wheel/center are either a cast of ones from a DeLorean or spare parts from one of the cars they cut up.

Gene Winfield made the 2015 Police Car and the Fiberglass DeLorean Time Machine for Part II - which had ALL fiberglass seats and a steering wheel. Makes total sense that he would reuse the DMC seat and steering molds for the Police Car.
